Mystics Erase 20-Point Deficit, Extend Win Streak to Five

WASHINGTON — The Washington Mystics defeated the Dallas Wings 96-92 on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at CareFirst Arena, completing a comeback from 20 points down to run their winning streak to five games.

Shakira Austin led Washington with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Rookie Cotie McMahon scored a season-high 18 points, 10 of them in the fourth quarter when the Mystics made their decisive push.

Citron and Georgia Amoore each finished with 12 points. Kiki Iriafen added 11, and Michaela Onyenwere scored 10 in a balanced effort across the lineup.

For Dallas, Jessica Shepard posted 22 points and 11 rebounds — her 20th double-double of the season. Alanna Smith added 21 points and 11 boards, but the Wings could not protect their lead.

Washington's record stands at 17-12. Dallas fell to 19-12.
