Bedfordshire Police launched a murder investigation after Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were found dead at their home in Great Denham on July 6, following forced entry into the property.
Post-mortem examinations confirmed all three died from blunt-force trauma. The family lived in a £1.3 million detached home in the quiet community near Bedford.
A man wanted in connection with the killings has since appeared in a South African court, a development that has drawn both British and South African authorities into coordinated legal proceedings.
The victims' family said the deaths represented an "unimaginable loss" and described Tshuma and her daughters as much-loved members of their community. Friends and neighbors in Great Denham also paid tribute to the mother and her children.
Investigators continue to gather evidence as they piece together the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
