George Lombard Jr. a top prospect in the New York Yankees organization, hit his first Triple-A home run May 27, 2026, playing for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
The homer came on the first pitch he saw during a game against Worcester at PNC Field. The RailRiders lost 8-1.
Lombard Jr. began his professional career in the Rookie-level Florida Complex League and also played for the Single-A Tampa Tarpons in his debut season, batting.311 across 13 games.
The 2024 season saw him play 110 games, splitting time between the Tampa Tarpons and the High-A Hudson Valley Renegades.
Triple-A is the final stop before the major leagues.
