President Donald Trump's social media platform, Truth Social, is selling a premium API subscription that gives paying customers earlier access to his posts—before the general public sees them. Financial institutions can pay $100,000 a month for the feed, a move critics call a direct sale of presidential information. Firms that commit to a multi-year contract pay $60,000 a month.

The service is managed by Trump Media & Technology Group. It allows Wall Street traders to receive presidential statements ahead of other market participants, giving them a head start on policy announcements, market-sensitive remarks and other White House news.

The arrangement creates a licensed gap that benefits firms with the capital to pay for it. Retail investors and ordinary citizens receive Trump's posts only after the paying institutions—seconds or minutes later, but enough time to matter when a presidential statement can move a stock, a commodity or a currency.

Top finance executives have publicly distanced themselves from the offering, with some calling it extreme. One critic warned the service amounts to "the ability to move markets when you're advancing information." The arrangement draws sharp criticism across the political spectrum, with lawmakers and public interest groups questioning whether a sitting president's communications should be monetized for exclusive access.

Sources close to GOP leadership have expressed reservations about the optics of Trump's company selling tiered access to his official statements.

Trump has a documented history of using social media to announce policy decisions and express views that move markets. His posts on various platforms, before Truth Social's launch, routinely triggered immediate shifts in stock prices, commodity values and currency rates. The new service turns that influence into a paid product.

The arrangement converts what was once an informal informational edge into a structured, transactional one. Where market participants once sought an advantage through faster news feeds or direct contacts, Trump's own platform now sells a direct paid tier for access to the president's words.
