FCA US LLC, the North American arm of Stellantis, is recalling nearly 1.3 million vehicles in the United States over a potential defect in the second-row center or second-row driver-side seat belt buckle anchor.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration acknowledged FCA US's notification. The company will inspect affected vehicles and, where necessary, repair or replace the seat belt components. The Mopar site confirmed the voluntary action.
The seat belt recall is the third major campaign FCA US has announced in recent months. Earlier this year, the company recalled 20,271 units of its 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger electric vehicles to address a software error that could cause the instrument panel display to fail.
On June 9, 2026, FCA US recalled 1,076,999 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles over a fire risk tied to the wiring harness and electric hydraulic power steering pump. Owners were advised to have those components inspected and, if needed, repaired or replaced.
Across the three campaigns, more than 2.3 million U.S.-market vehicles are affected. FCA US will contact owners of recalled vehicles directly with instructions for scheduling repairs. The recalls carry direct costs in parts and labor, along with logistical demands on the company's service network.
