Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $102.33 million in net capital on Aug. 4, ending a stretch of consistent withdrawals. The single-day inflow of roughly 1,600 BTC pushed the seven-day net flow for Bitcoin ETFs into positive territory for the first time in over a week.
The seven-day net flow now stands at positive $79.36 million, equivalent to 1,241 BTC—a sharp reversal from the $50.09 million in seven-day outflows recorded on July 31.
Ethereum spot ETFs posted $12.27 million in net outflows on Aug. 4, equivalent to 6,558 ETH, extending the asset's negative run. The seven-day net outflow for Ethereum funds reached $30.44 million.
Ethereum ETFs had briefly caught a bid earlier in July, logging a $71.17 million seven-day net inflow as of July 28. That reversed sharply: July 31 data showed $71.08 million in seven-day outflows.
Bitcoin ETFs faced heavier pressure through late July, recording $498.09 million in seven-day net outflows on July 30. The return to net inflows on Aug. 4 points to a moderate recovery in institutional demand.
Bitcoin traded at $64,094, up 0.3 percent over the prior 24 hours. Ethereum traded at $1,872, up 0.1 percent over the same period.
The split between the two products reflects a persistent preference gap at the institutional level, with Bitcoin continuing to capture the larger share of new allocations. Ethereum ETFs have yet to demonstrate the same consistency of inflow, even as on-chain activity on the network remains active.
