Odos Protocol will shut down its DEX aggregator on July 30, giving users one week to withdraw assets from the platform. The closure comes as monthly trading volume has fallen to $169 million in July 2026, down 97.8 percent from the $7.8 billion peak recorded in December 2024. The operating company did not provide a reason for the shutdown.
The team announced the closure July 24 via an X post, which specified the withdrawal deadline and drew a clear line between the operating entity and the Odos DAO. Social-login wallet users and anyone with funds on the platform needed to transfer assets or export private keys before the deadline.
The Odos DAO is not winding down with the protocol. It will announce its own operational future independently, and the ODOS token remains on-chain. The DAO's next steps will depend on how token holders choose to deploy its governance structure.
Data from DefiLlama shows the protocol was generating $2.72 million in annualized revenue ahead of the closure, a figure consistent with its declining routing volumes over recent months.
BitMEX also announced plans to shut down on the same day, ending 11 years of operations.
