[Part 1 of 6] [00:00] Orange worth a digital credit this year. And the most successful IPO of the year was stretch. It's STRC. It was two and a half billion dollars. I couldn't have done any of it without AI. If if we had not had AI, we would be $8 billion less. We had five IPOs. None of them would have happened because I used the AI to design the securities and solve all the tax problems and all the securities law issues. You know, so I like I'm a big believer in using AI to design new things. And look, I'm just I I focus upon digital credit and security, but there's someone there thinking about how to make the car drive and cure cancer and I like aren't there like 100 million problems that human race has to solve that we've that you're like, well, you're going to need a thousand people with PhDs to solve that. Well, guess what? Now every 16-year-old has a thousand PhDs at their fingertips. And so I'm very bullish. The world's going to be a much better place and and we're going to see an age of empowerment and abundance because of the digital technology. [01:09] People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. Not really. I mean, people who buy gold are trying to preserve. centuries. We have centuries of people being greedy to go ahead and acquire gold. Well, no, well, you're talking about to acquire wealth. Yes, people are greedy in that they want they want more things and there's nothing wrong with that. But when they're converting what they've earned into gold, that's not the greed part. That's the preservation part. I I I've I've earned all this money because I was greedy. Now I don't want to lose it. I want to store it so I can use it later. I don't want to blow it all right now. I want to hold on to it. And you know, gold is a way to do that. You can't really do that in a fiat currency that's just being printed, you know, into oblivion. So, uh, but but but you know, the greed is in the speculative frenzy that accompanies Bitcoin. They tell me that I'm the reason they own Bitcoin because they listened to me years ago about economics, about sound money and and and the Fed and inflation. And I'm the one that got them. Plus there's a lot of utility technology in Midnight that's going to make the use of Cardano safer. Like Midnight password will be the fastest, safest and easiest way to use Cardano. So, we gain all the usability and the trust. Plus I'd argue Midnight is an essential component of Bitcoin. Bitcoin D5. When you look at that side of it, you're like, okay, Bitcoin users, they want privacy. So, Cardano could do a lot of the heavy lifting on the programming side, but where is the private coordination layer to do all that? So, we're actually working on with program our Bitcoin D5 setup, that we call it the the circle. So, you start with Bitcoin and Taproot. I'm going to put 50 Bitcoin with my own money into this. This is free Bitcoin. Okay. It works. But you start with Taproot and uh Bitcoin. You lend it to a stable coin. So, that'll flow across Cardano through a specialized transaction through these token bridges. And then that stable coin would then be deployed into a yield bearing instrument. And then as you make the yield, the yield is converted to Bitcoin. And then it protects your Taproot. And then Midnight coordinates all of this with privacy. So, you you have like all three networks working together. And you have this circle and then from the Bitcoin user's perspective, you just give them a button. Make money. Click the button. And then it locks their Bitcoin. They just start generating a yield. The security actually enters the Taproot on the Bitcoin network. So, it meets my three rules that I have for Bitcoin D5. One, there's only Bitcoin. No other token. Bitcoin, Litecoin is better money than than fiat, obviously. It's also better money than gold. I I believe it's I believe it's the best form of money that um humans have ever come across. Right. Money being good being that is um it's inflation proof, right? No one, no single person, company or or government can print more money, right? Can't print money and inflate away the money you're holding. Uh you're storing. Right. That's kind of one of the key things about money is if you work hard, you make money. You don't want that money to kind of disappear over time, not from your own doing. Right. So, that's that's key and Bitcoin and Litecoin and um most cryptocurrencies um is able to to do that. I could have the argument that real estate's better than Bitcoin. For a number of reasons, by the way. You don't know who you are. Um Your audience would probably disagree because they're probably a bunch of, you know, Bitcoin maximalists. They don't have as much Bitcoin as the real estate. What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh wait. I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to sharing the value it creates. Or maybe it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating, and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So, why hasn't it happened yet? We're we're still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix. It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we built Midnight. To bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. For those that are going to listen to this show on Apple Podcast or Spotify, you're not going to see me unless you go and jump onto YouTube or obviously X, formerly known as Twitter. TikTok, if TikTok, by the way, I'm I'm still speaking to TikTok. I'm still waiting. Still waiting to see what what's, you know, what's up? What are we doing here, TikTok? What are we doing here? What are we going to do? You're going to allow me to go ahead and be seen? Which VC paid you off? It's crazy. I had such good I've been having such really, really good content and they've been like legit doing everything possible to keep me off. Anyway, welcome to the breakdown. With everything that's going on, Ledger, resellers putting in SIM cards, draining people, cold card drain millions of dollars of Bitcoin. It is crazy what's happening right now. It's crazy. Also, FOMO, FOMO, shout out to FOMO. FOMO's cool. FOMO's cool. Cool people over there at FOMO. You can go ahead and tune into FOMO and watch your favorite traders trade in 4K. Come on, you're going to write a thesis and jump out after five minutes. What what's happening there? Anyway, welcome to the breakdown. Thank you for everybody. Thank you for those who tune in. Speaking to one of my bots yesterday, I was speaking to one of my bots or I should say, you know what? I'm going to call I don't, you know what? I actually I'm not going to give away their name or the names of my bots. Have people copying me and shit. Uh, but I spoke to one of my agents and one of my SI or AI agents. Again, I don't want to I don't want to be the enemy of the state. I keep saying this, you know, Trump came out with super agents. He wants everybody to stick to this. I'm scared right now. Um, but speaking to it, I used to retweet the show. So, like I used to retweet questions on uh on Twitter or X. And I used to be like, hey, will Bitcoin go up or down? What's new in AI? Do you think AI is taking over? Like I used to like re I used to post or repost the show a lot. And it told me, this is funny because I I've been speaking to a lot of people about engagement. Engagement has absolutely fell off on Twitter. Like it is absolutely dog shit. Dog shit. It is absolute like it really it's it's not there. For anybody. And yes, if that's a shot taken, it's a shot taken for anybody. Okay? And I'm not jealous, trust me. I I I appreciate the real people that show up. TikTok, I'm in the shadow, like I'm in the shadows there. I don't know. They they lock me in the in the basement, under the under the fucking under the house and shit. It's crazy. But Instagram, I'm telling you right now, if you really want and so I obviously I've been pushing my content out there. If you want to really build out your brand, it's Instagram. YouTube as well. YouTube, Instagram, newsletter. There you go. I just gave you the secret. Instagram, YouTube, newsletter. You know, I I remember being on TikTok and my my clips and you can go back to them. My clips are going they were on fire. But even then you had to work so hard for it to be seen. It it it was you're working really hard, you're putting out content, you're pushing it out there. And for 1 million views, 1 million views on TikTok, you get like I think it's like $200, $300, $400. It's like it's not a lot. Whereas YouTube and Instagram are just like absolutely giving you money. Cuz I believe Insta Instagram, did I say Instacart? Did I just say Instacart? I got to replay that. Instagram and YouTube, they want content creators on the platform talking about whatever it is that they're talking about. I thought I said Instacart for a second. I was like, what the fuck? But they want people to talk about crypto or AI or whatever it is. They they want content creators on the platform. So, Instagram and YouTube are are absolutely the platforms that you want to be on because they pay you. They pay you to be there. They understand how hard you're working. They understand how hard you are working. And they reward you for it. And the brand deals. Like it's it's brand deals, it's revenue from obviously the ads. Like it's everything. You you can easily make baseless videos. You could probably make $5,000 a month easy. Easy $5,000 a month. 100%. TikTok, you would think, you would think a platform, video platform that's taken off would encourage more participation. Anyway, I'm getting into platforms and brand building. I'm just showing you in 90 days. So, I I said this, in 90 days, I'm taking my Instagram, I'm taking my TikTok, if if they'll if they'll work with me, and my YouTube. I'm going to take it, I'm going to I'm going to triple I'm going to 10x my followers, I'm going to 10x my engagement. I'm going to do a lot. I made a mistake and it's it's I I gave people advice on this too, which is which is crazy. I gave people a lot of a lot of advice. I said, don't ever get stuck on one platform. Don't. Cuz one day, as we've seen, I'm going to use this as an example. One day, you're killing it on a platform and then somebody takes over, somebody buys the platform, somebody takes over the algorithm, you know, director of algorithms, whatever it is. Somebody changes everything up. And it affects your brand. So, you need to be everywhere. Your your content needs to be on, listen, it needs to be on on Twitter, but you know what? Honestly, the videos don't work. Videos on Twitter don't work. I I put out hot ass content on Twitter, doesn't work. Instagram absolutely works. YouTube, it works. The algorithms just, you know, on Instagram, on YouTube, the algorithms have to get used to it. Like you see you being there and you see you posting. You got to be posting there, I'm talking about 30 days straight for it to recognize you. So, if you're not getting the engagement, keep is my are my headlines popping? Is the headline to my video popping? Is my content good? Like am I producing really good content to have anybody come and watch it? You got to look at these things if you're not getting the results and say, yo, can I do better? TikTok, I'm I'm I'm still again questioning, how I'm verified and not a lot of people get verified on TikTok. How I'm here sitting here verified and I'm getting 100 views on my goddamn fucking clips. I I I I'm absolutely baffled. It's crazy. Somebody in the chat said, I just want people that can read. Yeah, I'm I'm laughing. That's that's a good one, man. You get that too. Um, all right, crypto, obviously, if we're talking about crypto, it's choppy. I told you, it's going to be choppy. I hope, I've been praying that we get one more pullback, which is a healthy pullback. I'd like to see the pullback because it would tell me we're heading in the right direction. Now, you guys are probably saying, what is he talking about? One more pullback, one more pullback would tell me that, hey, people took profits and now there's going to be an opportunity for people like me and others that want to buy more Bitcoin and more Ethereum and more Solana, more things, more majors that will do something. I I'm not on I don't want to do hopes and dreams. No hopes and dreams here, man. Like I God God don't got a favorite in crypto. You guys pray to if you're praying to God, if you are praying for your crypto to rebound, you're praying to Jesus, Moses, everybody that you all the prophets. If you are praying, you're in the wrong fucking asset. I'm telling you that right now. You better sell. Not financial advice, everything here is educational, but I'm telling you right now. You better get the hell out of whatever you're in. If there's only three of you in in a Discord, Telegram, bro, time to hang it up. I'm telling you right now, the moment that you're praying, the moment you start praying, the moment that you do this, and you start looking up in the sky or towards the sky and you're like, dear God, dear God, I've always done, you know, not always, but I've been a good boy. When when grandma's asked me to clean the basement, I've done it. Have I always been an angel? No. But dear God, I went into this shitter of a meme. And I and I'm begging you, please, let me just get even. I don't even want to profit. If you're doing one of those things, man, you are in the wrong. Absolute wrong. Wrong token. I even have conversations with people. They're like, man, God, and and and they mention God, if God will just let me break even. Bro, you're in the wrong asset. It's like when people pray to God about their sports teams. Like you think God is really sitting there? You think God is really sitting there and and rooting for a team? Like think about the Dallas Cowboys fans. They've been praying to God for a long time. You think God's on their side? Every Cowboy fan prays to God. God, please, let Dax just let's Dax just win us a game. Let the defense No. You know damn well God ain't a fan of the Cowboys. You know, uh by the way. You got to think about that one, man. God definitely not rooting for the Cowboys. Man, before this season, God was definitely not on the on the Cleveland Browns uh side either, man. Holy shit for decades. They must have they must have not gone to church. Cowboys fans got to ask themselves, am I going to church? Am I going to church? Welcome to the breakdown. Episode 804. I'm going to wait for the 803. 804 sponsored by Midnight. Sponsored by uh Polymarket, Cake Wallet and FOMO. Martha comes on here today. Martha from uh Falcoin, which is one of my favorite uh
[Part 2 of 6] [00:00] protocols have held it for a really long time. Ever since that I came, ever since it came out, uh, I was big on Filecoin just because I love the I love the aspect of decentralized storage. We needed it, it's important. With all the hacks that have gone on, Equifax, you know, where where is your data stored? Where is your data stored? And by the way, it's a question I'm going to ask her, like, he who has all the data, wins, is that Because seriously, if you think about it, people who hold companies that hold data are really the ones that profit. Because that's the key to the game, it's data. Data is so important, like, to have control of data, it's absolutely important. Now, what's the money they make? It's crazy. But again, decentralized storage, we'll get into that. Moto, go ahead and explain to us for those who are watching, tuning in first time, might not even understand what Filecoin is, never heard of it. So go ahead and break it down to you. We'll break it down. We'll, we'll break it down within this conversation. We'll also go ask her, well, why am I going to, I'm going to ask her questions, I'm already pre-questioning this stuff. It's crazy. But again, back to crypto, if you are praying that your asset makes a comeback, your ass is cooked. Okay? I'm just, I'm keeping it 100, okay? If you're praying for some sort of miracle, okay? Like, the miracle on ice, uh, what was the Tennessee, uh, Titans miracle? Uh, what was it, uh, the Music City miracle? If you're praying for the, if you're praying for these kind of things to happen, when it comes to your tokens and assets, you're cooked. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm going to, I'm sorry I'm the one to tell you this. AI, by the way, is absolutely going to take over, man. Like, AI, we already know that, we've talked about that and nauseum, but AI is absolutely going to take over. I, I have now launched, like, I don't know how many AI bots, not agents, but bots. They are, Elon is right, these are super employees. Like, these are 100% super employees that execute everything that you tell them to do. And they remind you. Like, there is so much you can do. That that's why, like, if you're not diving deep into AI, you are crazy. I keep saying it, if you miss Bitcoin, don't fade AI. AI is currently, within its timeline, on the same timeline as Bitcoin when it was, what did I say? 2011 Bitcoin. That's the timeline that AI is on. You missed out on Pepe, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu? Don't miss out on, on AI. Missed out on the dot-com era? Don't miss out on AI. That's it. This will probably be the last industry, or the last tech that comes out to where you can absolutely make generational wealth, or life-changing money, whichever one you want to go ahead and pick. This bull market is going to have a combination of crypto and AI. Crypto, AI, moving together, imagine the liquidity. I want you to think about that. Crypto, the liquidity that's going to pour into crypto, probably $10 trillion. The amount of money that's going to be poured into AI, AI companies, just AI, trillions of dollars. Do you understand what kind of run we're about to participate in? To get it, I'm telling you right now, and people are, people are dogging me for this because I was one of the first, and I will keep saying it so you fucking remember this. I was one of the first to participate in the meme economy. I am bullish on memes. Just not right now. The current environment sucks, okay? The good memes are absolutely not being put on a pedestal, nobody's talking about them. People are asking me to talk about their memes. No. No. I am not that DG no more. I am absolutely not that DG no more. I will no longer, and I said this to myself, I had to think about this really hard for the last, I guess, week. I sat back and I see people tagging me and asking me, no, no, no, no, no. I'm a market participant, I'm an expert, and I will call myself an expert, just because I, after 10 years, I think you can put the expert title on yourself. I analyze the markets. And I'm going to be a market participant. You know why? Because at the end of the day, nobody appreciates, nobody appreciates how hard you go and put yourself out there for shit. They don't. Everybody's your friend. Oh, I love you. Oh, you're the best. You're great. You're a phenomenal guy. Keep talking. We love the fact that you're talking about. As soon as you stop talking, it's over. As soon as the charts go red, it's over. You're the guy that everybody wants to blame. Fuck no. Absolute, I said to myself, why do I need the headache? Why do I need the headache? I'll build out my movement on my time, and maybe just maybe I'll be the savior like Roaring Kitty one day that comes back here and unites the communities. But right now, probably isn't the time. Right now, it probably ain't the time. People just want money. People just want money. And they want a scapegoat. They want money and a scapegoat. I'm not going to be that. And and again, I'm not no longer talking about some of my favorite projects. I'm only talking majors. I got and and respectfully, a lot of people are tagging me in things that I currently hold. I'm sorry. I'm not talking about it no more. You know why I won't talk about it no more? Because I have people that don't show up. You want me to talk, by the way, you want me to talk about your favorite assets, but you won't show up to my show? I got strangers. You know the craziest part? Your friends and your circle, they won't clap for you. They see you out here, they see you fucking killing it. They won't clap, they won't acknowledge, they won't come in and they won't support. But strangers, strangers that you don't know are clapping for you. You ever go on Instagram? Think about this. I want y'all to think about this for a second. When you post content on TikTok, or you post content on Instagram, or even you can say Twitter. When you post content, your friends are not clapping for you. If anything, let's say you post a workout video. They're not clapping for you on that workout video. Strangers are. Random people that you don't know are clapping for you. Good job. Oh shit, I'm motivated. Oh, look at that girl or guy. Look, look at them work. They're determined. Look at the dedication. You got random people you've never, never met in your life, clapping for you. How crazy is this? Random people you've never stepped foot in the same space, in the same clubhouse, in the same room with are clapping for you. They're liking, they're reposting. They're sharing your stream. They think that, hey, man, this person is special. More people need to see this. Oh, man, this person, yo, DG's talking about a topic of value. I got to share this with my friends. I don't even know who this guy is, but he sounds intelligent. You got random people that support you. Yo, every day, I'm telling you, I think it's God. I really think it's God. I think God and maybe my ancestors, maybe my dad, they're smacking me in the back of my head and they're like, bro, are you not seeing the signs that we are throwing at you? Because I've seen this. And I ignore it. Ah, whatever. They must be busy. Ah, they must, they must be sleeping. I think, you know, I think this whole thing for the last three, four months, also really opened up my eyes where I, I, I still want to build out this movement and everything, but it really opened up my eyes to everything. Like, I, I can, I can now sit here and say, I've been absolutely naive. Thinking that there are people that honestly appreciate what you do. They appreciate your brand, they fuck with you, they like you. That's not the case. that can benefit you. Otherwise, if I ain't saying shit, I ain't benefiting you, it's over. There's no relationship. I had a really, like, I, I, I really had time to think about this. I remember sitting a few weeks ago, I think it was a few, a week or two ago, I, I sat and I thought, man, and I felt, I, I sat and I felt terrible for some reason. I don't, I don't even know. Like, I felt this, I felt something. And I was like, man, it's always the people that pretend like they like you and that they're rooting for you, that are always the people that have the fucking sword and the knife. So I say this to anybody with a brand. I say this to anybody who's trying to go ahead and level up. It's always, it really is always the strangers. It's always the people that you do not have a, have ever had a conversation with. It's always those that are there supporting. So I want to acknowledge the strangers, okay? The future friends, I guess. But I want to acknowledge the strangers. Shout out to the strangers. I'm telling you, it's life. Random people will, will, will come out and clap for you. Random people, random, just random people that don't know who you are support you. They see what you're doing, they support you. Especially if you're bringing value. Like, if you bring value to the space, and not everybody's going to see everything that you break down as value. But like, some or most, I, I would say, if they tune into you, they will. That's probably like the first time that I, that I said this publicly. Like, think about, like, I want y'all to really think about this after the show. After the show's over with, I really want y'all to take a minute and think about how society is so fucked where your own friends won't clap for you. Your own people. There are people that hate you. Like, for instance, they don't like you, right? You have people that don't like you, but if you ask them why they don't like you, they don't even have a good enough reason to tell you why. The reason why a lot of people don't like, I'll tell you why people don't like you. I know why people don't, let's say, might not like me. It's because I'm doing something that they can't. That's really the real reason. There are people that are doing, you're doing things that people prayed and dreamed of doing, but never put in the effort to do. And here you are. You're doing exactly what they wanted to do. They don't like that, so they're going to do everything to cut your legs off. That that's really it. I've had people who like, would go on to the timeline or whatever, in a space, they would motherfucker me. They like, hate, hateful words. And then they would DM me and I would like, out of the blue, because I don't really reply to DMs, but out of the blue, I'd be like, what's wrong? And they'd be like, oh, you, like, you replied. I'm like, yeah, what's what's up? What's what's wrong with you? Like, can I help you? Like, why why such animosity? And they don't know what to say. Because they don't know why they hate you. They don't know why they dislike you. Besides the part that I talked about where, hey, I always wanted to do what you're doing, being that I can't do it, you can't do it either. The mindset is like, if you, if I can't do it, you can't do it. So I'm going to make sure to sabotage. And then there is social media from a different aspect. You have people that have just come on to social media, they've just made an account, they just started getting into this crypto, you know, all this shit, right? And then somebody who doesn't like you, says, well, he, that guy sucks. So now this and and he and it gets engagement, okay? So, when you, oh, that guy is a, that guy's an asshole. This person who's just new to the space, right away, the perception is, that guy's an asshole, and he's going to do things to get engagement like that other person who's calling you an asshole. This is how it is. Social media is a toxic place and you got to have thick skin. I already said, I, I used to say, if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere. No, no, no. If you can make it on social media and within the crypto ecosystem, you can absolutely make it anywhere. Do not worry. If you can make it in crypto, and especially, not only from a social media perspective, but from a bull run and a bear market and holding on, you'll be good. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. You'll be fine. You'll be absolutely fine. Welcome to the breakdown episode, episode 804, sponsored by Midnight, sponsored by Polymarket, Cake Wallet and FOMO. FOMO, we'll get into FOMO on Friday. I want to go ahead and trade a little. What if I like trade $100 every day and just like jump into random dog shit and see if it goes up? That's, could could DG go ahead and and use $100 and turn it into $1,000? I think I can, easy. Every day, take $100, throw it into some random dog shit, see if I can turn that shit into $500 to $1,000 per day. I don't know. I don't know. Social media, there's also a thing that I like to say, don't take social media so seriously. That's one thing that I always try to press upon people. It's not real. Like, in reality, you have a bunch of characters hiding behind a PFP, it's not real. You can't take it seriously. You you just can't. But again, speaking on the that topic where people are like, hey, why don't you talk about this? Why don't you talk about that? Hey, you're holding this, talk about it. No. No. I don't see you retweeting or reposting or acknowledging me in conversations. I don't see you sharing my live stream. You know what? You know what I see? I'll tell you what I see. I see the LA Vape Cabal, they hate each other. They don't provide good content at all. I just want to tell you that. And and let somebody clip this and send this to them because I'm the only one who has fucking balls to say, I call for what it is. It is what it is, okay? I've been I've been calling bottoms and tops for a long time. I have friends in here who have been calling bottoms and tops. I'm not saying that I I went all the way to the bottom or the or the top. I'm conservative. I am I am absolutely conservative when I trade. I'll I'm not waiting to catch the top or the bottom. None of that. None of that. I'm not doing any of that. But I have a lot of people who do that. And yet, here you have some random people, random people that come on and tell you, hey, I called this. But the one thing that the LA Vape Cabal does do is that they support each other. They might not like each other, but they support each other. I I watch it. I watch everything every single day, obviously for, I'm on here to report on what's happening, right? In crypto, in or I should I call it digital assets from now on because I'm I'm tired of spooking people when I say crypto. Also funny how big-time organizations are getting into crypto and used to dog crypto. That's for another time to go ahead and talk about. Somebody says it gets lonely at the top. I I don't I'm a loner. I don't really I'm never alone. From that standpoint, I'm good. I'm a Sagittarius. We're loners by heart. There, I gave you my horoscope sign. There you go. You can look it up. We're fine. Social media does not affect me one bit. I understand what social media is. I'm here to do a job. Here I go, restricted again. Hold on, this time TikTok restricted for, oh boy. We have detected suspicious activity that may violate our integrity and authenticity. What are you talking about? What did I say? What did I say in this Can somebody replay this program? What did I say? Let me appeal again. I have no clue what I just said. I was talking about how social media is fake. Like, this is crazy. How many times? Oh my God. Oh my Lord. TikTok, the TikTok audience is even laughing. This is crazy. This is crazy. Anyway, what I was saying is, you have a bunch of people that are supporting each other from the LA Vape Cabal. They understand that if they work together, they'll be more successful. The rest of you guys don't want to work together. You want engagement. You want people to say, oh my God, look, he's killing the game by shitting on people. And what is that going to do for you? I just I'm trying to figure out, you want this Elon $4 paycheck? Because that's all you're going to get from Twitter. Elon pays $3 on average, respectfully. If you get 1 million views on your video, you get $5. Wouldn't you rather study, do some research? I I come on here, I've written a book about AI. I am telling you that AI is absolutely going to dominate. Wouldn't you want to learn how to launch AI bots that'll cut down your work time, give you some freedom? Wouldn't you want to go ahead and jump into digital assets that serve some sort of purpose? I'm not talking about jumping into your scratch-off tickets and going to the casino, because crypto was never about the casino. Go read the white paper. I didn't come in here to play blackjack or craps, okay? Whatever you guys are doing, I have absolutely no clue. And then you wonder why. God, please, God, let me be even, and then you blame everybody else. No patience. You want instant gratification. You don't want to delay it. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, imagine if you guys came together. Imagine if you researched, you took this goddamn, let's say, a notebook, I was about to say laptop and show my age, but a notebook and you opened it up, and you you started typing instead of using your Twitter fingers and and went and go after people for no reason and and call them ugly or stupid and things like that, things that happen in in middle school. Imagine if you just applied the same energy towards researching good products. Maybe, just maybe, maybe life-changing money. And then after that, maybe you'll decide to say, you know what? I want to build in crypto. You know what? There's and this is what what have I said at conferences? There are there are so many opportunities in crypto, it's crazy. You're first to market. Like, we're still a baby. This is a baby ecosystem. You're can you imagine? I would never want to live with this regret because I I hope that my grandkids and family members throw me into a nursing home. If I ever ever give them an answer like, hey, grandpa, you you were around for crypto and AI the boom? You you made life-changing money, right? Nah, I didn't. What what do you mean? Well, I was around, but I I was too busy, you know, cursing people out. I had hell of I had a lot of engagement though. The engagement was through the roof, guys. Bro, I would never visit my grandparents again. Done. And I don't know why you guys are laughing in the chat. This is not even funny. Can you imagine saying to your grandkids, I hey, man, you know, I didn't I didn't do I didn't go and maximize or I didn't I wasn't a part of the life-changing generational assets that you speak of. Wait, you have no Bitcoin? No. You have no Ethereum, no Solana? No. I would disown this person. If they were on my 23 and me, I would take them off the branch. The family tree, they're removed. They are no longer a part of the family tree. That that's this is what I'm trying to get to you. I know it's funny, you guys are laughing. You guys are I I TikTok is absolutely dying laughing, but it's it's the truth. It is absolutely the truth. You guys are fighting over the dumbest things. Look, I talk about politics too. But at the end of the day, none of them care about you. Democrats or Republicans, it doesn't matter. They don't care. Okay? You vote for they vote you vote for they care about you when you vote for them. And then they're gone. I'm not saying people don't implement policies and stuff. They've done a great job, the SEC, pro SEC, pro CFTC, whatever. All I'm saying is, they care for your vote and that's it. Done. You guys are on social media battling like it's like it's Game of Thrones, the Battle of the Bastards. You're like Jon Snow,
[Part 3 of 6] [00:00] [David] versus Ramsey. [00:02] Like what what are you doing? [00:06] This is it's horrible, terrible. [00:09] Absolutely terrible. [00:12] It's fatherless behavior. That that's what it is. It's fatherless behavior. I know that you got bullied in school. Cuz there's no way. [00:22] There's no way. [00:23] Anyway, welcome to the breakdown. I got that out of him. [00:25] Yeah! [00:32] We'll be joined by [00:36] the president. [00:39] The head person in charge [00:45] from Filecoin in about a minute. [00:48] I'm scared. [00:50] Filecoin, you know, if you look back at my tweets, if you guys go search, cuz it's easy to search. [00:56] I was like super bullish on Filecoin. I remember I was like, what is that? [01:02] For a second people thought like, because I said it back then, I when I said it, [01:08] maybe it came off like, maybe it came off as a meme or something. I'm like, it's not a meme. Filecoin is like decentralized storage, man. It's important. [01:17] Like, okay. I'm like, yeah, okay. Like how many times has Equifax and Experian and TransUnion and others got hacked? [01:32] I said it's going to be a major player. [01:36] Some believe me and they researched it and some are like, okay. [01:39] I always get the okay's. [01:44] I always get the okay and then okay's. [01:47] You know, numbers cool. And before we we get to [01:53] that discussion, you know, [01:55] you come in here for gains, but at the end of the day, you you stay I say this about myself, you stay here for the tech. [02:03] Gains are great, but the tech is even better. And like what we're building here is great. It's a it's a great place. And now it's funny. It's like what Charles Hoskinson said, we took [02:16] we took crypto away [02:19] and now we can do the same thing with AI. So, we we're in a place where we're still in the beginning. Things are still a baby. There are still problems to go ahead and fix. And you guys can have the opportunity to go ahead and build out the next solution. Anyway, let's go ahead and get the over hopefully the overlay is going to be right here. [02:38] So I don't get I don't want to get killed here. I really don't want to get killed. But let's bring in Marta into the show here. [02:46] Um, you're I was Hi, how's it going? [02:49] [Guest: Marta] Hi, it's so great to see you. [02:51] [David] I'm glad that you're smiling and not like, man, who is this guy? Why am I here? Who set this up? [02:57] [Guest: Marta] No, I'm delighted. I'm delighted to be here. It's fantastic to be on the show. Thank you so much for having me. [03:04] [David] Well, thank you for coming on. Um, I really appreciate it. Filecoin, and I'm not just saying this because I I do I never I'm not one of those uh, I guess media personalities that just say, I love what you're doing. I'll call for what it is. [03:18] I I got to say before we start though, your EA is [03:23] is on top of I think it's her. I'm not sure, but her game 100%. I got an email [03:30] saying, you better take out that H. [03:33] [Guest: Marta] [laughs] [03:34] [David] And it wasn't me though. It wasn't me. And I somehow I got the email. I'm like, I I never even wrote this. [03:43] [Guest: Marta] Yes, it is Marta, M A R T A. Um, but my mom is Martha actually, so with an H. So, you know, very confusing. We don't want you to think my mom's on the show. [03:54] [David] I want to ask you this. Before we get into Filecoin, I'm sure everybody's let's go I want to talk about what made you go from the career that you had [04:04] into crypto or to the into the digital asset space. Cuz I mean like that's not a bad career where you came from. That's you know, legal and all that stuff. That that's not bad. And then all of a sudden [04:16] you said, you know what? I want I I want to suffer a little bit. So I really come into digital assets. [04:22] [Guest: Marta] Well, you know, honestly, I was a uh civil liberties lawyer and the thing that I care about is civil liberties. And so for me, when I sort of learned about cryptocurrency, it was like, oh wow, like this is this is something that really can embed civil liberties into the next generation of the internet. Um, and that was really why I was so drawn to Filecoin in particular was the ability to really take uh, you know, civil liberties and and digital human rights and bake those into the next generation of the web. Um, and that's really what drew me into this world. [04:57] [David] Filecoin, why Filecoin out of all the and there is I'm not going to mention the competition, but there are others. But Filecoin like I've always been intrigued by it, especially decentralized storage. I I think it's super important. Why Filecoin and how did you get together with them? [05:13] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, so, you know, honestly, the for me, this idea that you can really um, that you can really when you go to a website, right? Like your your data is being stored by like one of three major big tech companies. And you have no choices there, right? Like if if if you're without Filecoin, before Filecoin, before decentralized storage, like you really have no choice but to trust these giant companies with your data. And, you know, trust that they're not, you know, handing it over to um governments when requests are unfair and, you know, really trust that um, they're not, you know, going to be hacked or misuse the data, right? In in all these ways that they frequently do. And so, you know, for me, it was just such a an obvious thing to to create this alternative to big tech where people can be in control of their own data. Um, so I initially started as outside counsel. Um, I was at a law firm and outside counsel for the team that was building Filecoin, um, and then I ended up coming on and being part of the team that built Filecoin and launched Filecoin and, you know, launched Filecoin Foundation. So, um, it's been an amazing, amazing, um, uh, many years and actually tomorrow is the six-year anniversary since mainnet launch. Um, so very, very exciting. [06:32] [David] Congratulations. There you go. [06:34] [Guest: Marta] Thank you. [06:34] [David] And I also noticed that you work uh, or I don't know if you still do, but close to Zcash, is that [06:41] [Guest: Marta] That's right. I'm on the Zcash Foundation board. Um, and, you know, I again, I the thing that I care about is is civil liberties, privacy, um, digital human rights and, um, so for me, those two things really go hand in hand. [06:55] [David] All right, so now this is good because we'll talk about let's talk about AI because you know, Filecoin, AI, and even privacy, they all they all fit together here. [07:07] What do you think because you talk about privacy and and data being, you know, stored by, you know, three giant, there are three big giant uh companies out here that love your data. Um, how how does Filecoin fix that in or or play a part in making sure that our data is secure? [07:29] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, absolutely. [07:30] [David] Especially with AI with its advancements. Obviously, you see every day, there's a new model coming out. It's it's excuse me, I should say super intelligence because I don't want to become the enemy of the state. Trump issued, you know, land of the law, call it SI, but you get it. Uh, how how does Filecoin uh come into play to help us against AI? Cuz the good there's good, but there's bad too. [07:53] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, well, look, I think it really comes down to this question of like, you know, with the sort of previous generation of the web, right? We we really ended up with a lot of centralization. We had these like major companies that really are in control of all of your data. And so it really comes down to this question of, do we want that same kind of centralization and lock-in for the AI era? And, you know, that matters for things like our privacy, um, our sort of self-sovereignty, uh, our ability to control our own data in the AI world. Like that's that's like one reason that it matters. But it also just from a commercialization perspective matters, right? Because data itself is just incredibly important for the AI era, right? Like there is this huge insatiable demand for data, not just to train models, but but also, you know, there's just this vast amount of data that we we've been producing, but that you couldn't really use up before AI because, you know, like there was no way a human could really like do the analysis on this vast amount of data. Um, but now with AI, you can actually use that data. So things like robotics and self-driving cars and factories and businesses that are deploying their AI, they all need this huge amount of data. So storage is really becoming a bottleneck for AI, right? It's not just compute, it's also storage. And the thing about Filecoin is we've spent the last six years building this infrastructure at scale. You know, we have exabytes of storage capacity deployed all around the world on every major continent. And that is a huge, very powerful tool for AI to leverage, and it also is really important that it gives you the ability to utilize an AI in a way that is self-sovereign, right? So you're not locked into a provider that's going to charge you huge amounts of money when you want to move your data, um, because the GPUs you usually use aren't available. Um, or, you know, you're not you're not trusting having to trust that these big companies, um, are are not going to misuse your data. So being able to be in control of your data for this next generation of the AI era is so critical. Um, and so Filecoin is really a big important part of sort of this this this future of AI. [11:14] [David] Has I love that. Has Filecoin reached out or has anybody reached out to Filecoin in terms of, you know, aligning with each other? What you know, what companies have actually reached out to Filecoin to say, hey, we want to do business with you guys. Because like it's cool to build in Web3, but we need to start getting out of Web3 and getting into Web2, right? Because Web2 has the problems. We're we have the solutions. It's time to go ahead and, you know, crack out of this little bubble that we have here and let the world know that, hey, we exist and we have the solutions for your problems. [11:48] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, exactly, exactly. And so, you know, you're asking this at exactly the time that we are talking about this because for us, you know, we launched six years ago and we were really focused on scaling our storage capacity, right? So we were for the first six years, we were like really building the world's largest decentralized file storage network. And that's what allowed us to reach this exabyte of scale, which is just humongous. Like I remember before launch being like, I wonder if we'll ever reach an exabyte of scale. And like, we managed to like reach that extremely quickly, which is wild. Like it was like unfathomable before launch. It's just a huge amount of capacity. But now, exactly as you're saying, we we have the capacity. And so this year was really a pivot point where we shifted our focus to scaling our demand. So our core focus is driving on-chain paid storage deals and also improving our network economics. And so we really turned that corner from buildout to commercialization. Um, and so, you know, we really created some new ways to use Filecoin that are really like easy. As you said, like it's not just Web3, like it has to be easy to use and powerful and really designed for sort of serious workloads including sort of like agents and enterprise. So the big thing we built, um, was FilOne. Um, so FilOne is a like super user-friendly S3 compatible way to use Filecoin storage. So it's like if you know how to use Amazon S3, you know how to use FilOne, right? So it it doesn't feel like a Web3 product. It feels like a Web2 product, right? It just takes away all that complexity exactly as you're saying, and it it really allows you to use decentralized storage and have all that decentralized benefit, right? It's verifiable and auditable and durable, but it really feels like a Web2 um product. And so, you know, what we've really seen is, you know, with with this maturity, we the type of data that the Filecoin network is storing is really, you know, top-notch. I mean, thing we we have data sets from the Smithsonian, from MIT, from the Flicker Foundation, the Internet Archive, we have AI training data. Um, and we have data from governments around the world actually. In fact, this year, um, at the very beginning of the year, the head of state of Bermuda personally announced that Bermuda would store government data on the Filecoin network, right? So we really are reaching a moment of maturity, um, where this this is really commercialized technology and it really does it it can feel like Web2 while giving you the benefits of Web3. [13:20] [David] Marta, when you sit down with somebody and you try to explain it to them, like this entire entire system and protocol that you guys have built out. [13:31] Do they understand? Like do they understand? Do they instantly understand or does it take does it take a few meetings for them to finally wrap their heads around like, hey guys, we offer something way better than you're currently using now. Like it it how many meetings would you say you have to go through for like, let's say, I don't know, I don't I was about to say Toys R Us for some reason. But whatever actual McDonald's. Okay, let's talk about McDonald's. Half this chat probably eats that anyway. But what how many times would you have to meet with McDonald's for them to finally say, you know what? Yeah, we get it. [14:10] [Guest: Marta] So, you know, it's really interesting. Um, I think the depending on the customer type and where they're coming from, you know, some of them some some people really actually desperately kind of are are searching for this. You know, you believe it or not. I mean, so for one thing, it's actually just straight up it's it's it's you know, for people who are cost-sensitive, it's actually really quite um cost-efficient. So that alone, you you sort of start the conversation and you're already kind of there with with Filecoin. Um, so, you know, so so that's one piece. But, you know, anyone who's touching AI, they you don't really have to explain it to them. Like they they understand the the the struggle is real, right? Like and this this this concept of, you know, people really understand, I think, are starting to understand that like compute has been a huge bottleneck and is going to continue to be a bottleneck, but I think people are also starting to really understand that storage is a huge bottleneck. And, um, and that that being able to store your data near where your compute is is something that is actually um extremely important, right? Because the you know, that's something that anyone who works with AI is going to instantly understand because they've had to deal with these humongous, you know, egress fees when they want to move their data, right? They're getting basically taxed by these hyperscalers every time they want to use their data. Um, and so for a lot of people, especially in AI, it's actually pretty easy for them to understand. [15:39] [David] They're sitting there with you and they go, you know what? Great. I love this. But why would I go with because, you know, I don't know why people find our tech to be so like complicated to understand. It's not really not complicated. It's just there's a decentralized word uh that that's we start with first when we explain our tech. But what when somebody sits back and says, great, cool. I I get it. But why why you over Google and Amazon? Like I'm sure you I'm sure people say that. I have Google, Amazon. Why would I why would I go? Uh, listen, they'll be held liable, etc, etc. Why would I go with Filecoin? [16:18] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, absolutely. Well, so first of all, for some people, it's and not or, right? So for some people, they want to have multiple they want to have multiple copies of their data, um, you know, because they've seen these outages that happen where AWS goes down and suddenly half the internet is just down, right? I mean, like imagine you're a Web imagine you're a Web3 company, okay? You're you're you're you're Coinbase, right? And AWS goes down and your website goes down. So first of all, that's terrible because your website just went down. But second of all, how embarrassing, right? Like like if you're a Web3 company as an example, or like a Web2.5 company, right? You're like a a company that's like Web3 adjacent or a Web3 company that operates like a Web2 company, but you're still using AWS, like what are you doing? You know, you're it's it's embarrassing. So, you know, I think like for a lot of people, you know, especially like a a you know, a Web3 company that needs to operate like a Web2 company, Filecoin is just such an obvious answer either as either in addition to or, um, or just as their their main storage because you really want to take advantage of that decentralized technology, but Filecoin now really has all of those sort of like Web2 bells and whistles. So feels like Web2, operates like Web2, but under the hood, it's Web3. So a lot less uh embarrassing for for people when there are outages. [17:45] [David] Privacy is huge. Like privacy is I I think it's the next meta. People are finally waking up to the fact that they're not anonymous. Because I think the perception was, oh, I have a wallet address. I'm good. Nobody knows anything. AI is here. We have, you know, obviously companies that uh specialize in tracking things down. Um, how big is that now? How big does that come into play for, you know, you I mentioned Zcash. Obviously, I'll mention Midnight. Midnight is the sponsor of this show. I'm sure I think you talked to Charles Hoskinson too. Uh, who who to me, he's it's not because of the sponsorship. We've been friends for a while now. Uh, he's a dedicated builder. Uh, I think Midnight is a phenomenal protocol. I've been saying that way before the sponsorship. Um, [18:35] How how important is we know how important privacy is, but how important is it to build out these uh privacy protocols? [18:45] [Guest: Marta] I mean, it's it's it's critical because, you know, in the AI era, you know, there's there's so many amazing, wonderful things that you can do with AI and, you know, there's it's it's incredible. And at the same time, you know, you do have just these this this vast this this vast amount of data, um, that is that that is out there that suddenly can be analyzed with AI, right? Stuff that before these huge warehouses of data that previously couldn't be analyzed, um, you know, a human would never really be able to to do that. And suddenly, you're we're in this world where all of that data can can be analyzed. And so really having infrastructure that is self-sovereign, that does allow you to control your own data and not have to trust third parties with it is so critical for this AI era also because we are in an era where that data can be used to so much effect that you really want to be able to stay in control of it. [19:46] [David] When people say, well, okay, if I go with Filecoin or everybody goes with Filecoin, then you control the data. Then you can go ahead and sell it off or use it to your benefit. What would you say towards that? They're basically say you're are you any better than Google or Facebook or etc. [20:06] [Guest: Marta] So yes. So so the idea is basically, it's a little more complicated than this, but you can imagine sort of imagine Filecoin like Airbnb for file storage, right? So people have extra storage space and they sort of rent it out to people. And there but when people are sort of uh putting their data on on those devices, you know, and they can do that on multiple devices all around the world. So they have lots of copies of it. Um, when people are doing that, they're they're, you know, storing it in sort of like chopped up and encrypted, you know, little pieces, right? And so people really can both store their data with third parties and also stay in control of that data. Um, which is really critical. And that is really why Filecoin is this this this sort of new, um, uh, technology for the next generation of the web that allows you to be in control of your own data instead of a third party. [21:01] [David] Cuz that's what right away, I think and I'm sure people are tuning in right now. I see it on TikTok and they're they're that was a question. They were like, well, what happens? I mean, like, okay, Filecoin comes into play. They we go ahead and give Filecoin all our data. But then I mean, we did that with Google and we did that with, you know, others and they also got I don't believe, you know, how hard would it be for somebody to hack Filecoin? Let me ask that question because you add all these hacks on all these major companies have been hacked. Some way, somehow down the line, they've been hacked. How hard would it be for somebody to go ahead and and do something nefarious to to Filecoin? [21:42] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, well, so the idea is it's not like you can literally store chopped up encrypted versions of a file. You're not sharing a whole file, right? So if someone actually can go in and look at that file, and you can and you can take that and actually it's a little more complicated than this, but you can imagine it like there's these little sort of shards of the file and those shards are stored in different places, right? And so someone is able to get that one shard of the data, like it's it's gibberish. You know, when you open a file and there's that's, you know, been corrupted in some way and it's gibberish, right? It's only when you sort of put the pieces back together that are being stored in different places that you really are able to actually make sense of it, which is why you as the person sort of with the, you know, the the key and the ability to put it back together are the person who's in control of the data, not those third parties. Um, so, you know, that's really sort of what makes Filecoin really sets Filecoin apart. [22:41] [David] Has it been frustrating that you don't have to talk about this either. You can plead the fifth. You have such great tech. It really is. I love when you you said sharding and like I I love it because like that's my language. You know, uh and a lot of people don't use it. Everybody right I think it's right now crypto is in in a stage of rotation and a lot of really good protocols aren't being seen. When, you know, they you know, people should be doing more research on a Filecoin. Um, you want to say Zcash, Monero, you want to throw in Midnight, you want to Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. I mean, like these things need to be looked at more so than uh these things flying off a launchpads and, you know, [23:23] I get it. I I I totally understand. People are looking for fast money. Um, but there's nothing to it. [23:31] Does it get frustrating that you guys are building something absolutely epic that will one day if not already, but will break out of Web3, will be used by major companies to keep all our data safe because we all of us use different companies and we're giving them our data. Phone companies, whatever it is. Ooh, I need to touch on that too. I want to Let me stop here real quick. [23:58] Are you guys going to work with any of these phone companies, whether it's Verizon, T-Mobile? Obviously, all these SIM swaps and all these things that go on, they have a lot of data. They have a hell of a lot of data. Have you guys reached out to any of them or have they reached out to you kind of? [24:13] [Guest: Marta] Yeah, absolutely. So, you know, that is something that we're we're like we there we are really looking at different storage verticals because the the thing about the storage market is it's not like different sort of types of users have totally different needs, right? And so the things that we're optimizing for with different user types are are different. Um, so that hasn't been one of our focuses, um, so far, but it's definitely something where, you know, we are sort of like right now, we're really, really focusing on sort of AI and agents and, you know, sort of, um, enterprises that need S3 compatible storage. Um, but it is it's a really good idea and something that we'll we will explore as as a as a storage vertical. [24:53] [David] And before I finish the other question, have you guys because you mentioned AI again and we talked about AI. Have have you guys been in you don't have to say it, but Anthropic, Open AI, uh, I guess Google Gemini. Have you guys been in sort of contact or try to uh have you tried to get in contact to just try to show off the product that you guys do have with Filecoin? [25:14] [Guest: Marta] Well, well, let me say this, which is, um, our our our door is open and we hope we hope they will we hope they will reach out, um, if they're interested. Um, but, you know, I think for for us, we're we're really, really, uh, you know, there are there are a lot of sort of AI, um, you know, applications and uh training data sets that that we are, uh, storing and, you know, we're we're always like the the infrastructure is here. And, you know, AI companies are are, you know, running out of storage. Like they're there is storage is a bottleneck and so we do expect that, um, over time as as AI, um, you know, the AI buildout continues to happen, Filecoin is going to become more and more, um, of that sort of critical storage. And, you know, I would say to them that, you know, here we here we are. We have an exabyte of storage capacity. We're on five continents. Um, the decentralized architecture could really bring something. So, I hope they will reach out.
[Part 4 of 6] [David] [00:00] There is no like and I'm not just saying this because you're on the show. There is no other decentralized storage company like Filecoin. So you're ahead of the game. Bottom line. [Guest: Martha] [00:11] We are the world's largest decentralized storage network. We have spent six years building this on this huge build out to build this exabyte scale capacity. And that is a very, very uh unique and critical tool for this AI era. So it's we are in a fantastic position and this pivot that we've had this year shifting from sort of supply to demand, um has been just phenomenal. It's really we have turned a corner um as a as a network. [David] [00:46] Do you think more governments are going to jump on? [Guest: Martha] [00:49] Yeah, we already have. Um, so we already have in addition to the government of Bermuda, we also have, for example, the government of Aruba, um, also has stored its data with Filecoin. [David] [00:59] One of my favorite places. Go ahead. [Guest: Martha] [01:01] Yeah, right exactly. All the great places to go on vacation. But um, but yeah, no, we um, we actually have a a program with the Internet Archive, and it's called Democracy's Library. Um, and so it is a partnership with the Internet Archive, um, where we're really able to make sure that those sort of critical government data sets that really belong to the public can can be stored, you know, at the end of the day, our mission is to uh build a decentralized and robust foundation for humanity's most important information, right? And that includes these public data sets that governments have. And so we're just delighted when we have government data um that's stored on the network and the Democracy's Library program, which has been around for for years, um has been uh fantastic in bringing government data to the Filecoin network in order to preserve it into the future, right? Like you don't want to live in a world where, you know, there's this concept of link rot, right? You go to a link and so often that link is gone, including like links you're you're reading a New York Times article, there's a link in it. Oh, like some big large percentage of the time, it's just not there. Um, you know, like you'll you'll go to um, sometimes even like congressional government websites, right? You click a link, it's not there. Links in Supreme Court decisions even are just not there. So this concept of link rot is like a really big one. And we're talking about government data, right? Like that is something that is it is really critical that that underlying data is is actually preserved and still there, which is why we think it's so important to have government data on the network and why we've been so delighted to have governments storing their data with us. [David] [02:33] How have the you don't have to again, you can always plead the fifth on this show, but how is the the conversations with the United States government? Because I'm sure we need it, okay, here. [Guest: Martha] [02:43] Yeah, absolutely. [David] [02:44] Have have those conversations gone well? [Guest: Martha] [02:46] Yeah, so we we have had some conversations um with the um uh the Commerce Department uh in particular and we're, you know, it is it is really um it is really great to be uh in a moment where the, you know, US government is really understanding the uh importance of um this decentralized technology. Um, so very, very excited um as well. And you know, as I mentioned, we even have Smithsonian data on, you know, stored on the Filecoin network. Um, so it's it's really it's really great stuff. [David] [03:19] The excitement. Like you're you know, we have a lot of people that come on to the show. I I have I think I have great guests that come on such as yourself. And everybody's so passionate about whatever they're they're speaking about on the topic that we're touching on. But you're just like jumping out of your chair for and and that's cool to see. [Guest: Martha] [03:36] Yeah. [David] [03:37] Cuz people would say, well, and you know how crypto is. So you can lay this all out. And it's phenomenal. Like you guys have the tools to change the world. That's that's how I look at it. And we need it. Like you talk about data like you you talk about AI and like they're about to bottleneck and and and all and they're looking for ways. You have the solution. But here people are chart watchers. Why isn't the chart going up? Why like do you guys even care? Like I I I I I guess you'll watch it once in a while, but do you really care because like your mission is so much bigger? [Guest: Martha] [04:12] Well, I guess here's what I'd say. I think the most interesting thing about Filecoin is the technology, right? Like that is what is interesting to us. Like we're, you know, when you if you look at the if you look at the sort of top cryptocurrencies, right? Like most of them are sort of a blockchain network and they're doing cool things and that's great. And we are also a blockchain network, like a hardware backed, by the way, Filecoin. The Filecoin is a hardware backed network, right? It has a hardware backed proof of spacetime, um consensus mechanism. So if you just looked at if you left aside all the data storage and you just looked at Filecoin in the same way that you look at all of the other cryptocurrencies, right? And you just are are judging it based on, you know, network uptime and, you know, what kind of consensus mechanism it has. Filecoin is fantastic. It's phenomenal. It is a hardware backed, um proof of spacetime is is what it's called, consensus mechanism, right? That has, you know, just incredible stats and uptime, like just as a blockchain network, Filecoin is phenomenal, right? But then you add on top of that, we're not just that. We're also building the the world's largest decentralized file storage network. We're building an alternative to Big Tech that puts people in control of their data. We're building an alternative to AWS. That is huge and that has taken time, right? That has taken years. But we are at the point where we have that build out, we have we have built it out. We have exabytes of storage capacity, um, and we are turning the corner into this commercialization. Um, and and not only that, but we've also recently changed Filecoin's network economics. So Filecoin is now rewarding bringing paying customers to the network, not just adding capacity. That actually starts in just a few days on October 19th. Um, so block rewards will be distributed differently than in the past, where in the past, storage providers were earning rewards for adding capacity, and now rewards are going to be increasingly earned by actually bringing in and serving paying customers. And then if no one earns that reward, it actually gets burned, right? So this is a big part of the network's shift from growing capacity to actually scaling demand. And that's, you know, a big change in our network economics. You're, you know, we're really talking to each other at this moment where there is a huge shift going on in the Filecoin ecosystem. [David] [06:28] You know what industry I think needs Filecoin, and I'm sitting here and thinking about it, the movie industry. [Guest: Martha] [06:36] Oh, yeah. Absolutely. [David] [06:37] Like that that is like that is a no-brainer, especially the encryption and everything. You know how people leak movies and whatnot. And and listen, it's a lot of a lot of memory needed for, you know, to to upload a I would think that's perfect for Filecoin to go and grab that industry. I don't know, I'm just sitting back as you're you're talking and I'm like, man, movies. [Guest: Martha] [06:59] Yeah, well, you know, actually, we are like an exabyte of storage well over an exabyte of storage capacity. And to give you an idea for, you know, to give the movie industry an idea, right? An exabyte of storage capacity is 44,000 years of nonstop HD streaming, right? Like you start watching in the Stone Age and like you're still watching today, right? Like that's how big the Filecoin network is. Um, and how big that scale is, right? Or if you if you if you had DVDs, you would have to stack up like 245 million DVDs. Like they would go well into space, right? So that is how big the Filecoin network is. [David] [07:36] That is awesome. Um, last question, I guess, uh, have any of these social media companies come to you? You know, like an X, could you see like because in terms of like more so video. I I guess for me it would be more video. Though, obviously I can see, you know, X formerly known as Twitter. I have to say that because people listen to the podcast and they think I'm talking about something other than X the platform. Um, but X formerly known as Twitter and TikTok and YouTube. I I can also see, you know, your presence being felt there. [Guest: Martha] [08:08] Yeah, so so we, for example, um, have so our underlying sort of technology is um, uh, IPFS, um, and the interplanetary file system. Um, and um, uh, Blue Sky at one point had done some really interesting work, um, with our our tech stack, right? You know, when you think about decentralized social media and the the people who really care about this technology, um, it's very, very values aligned. [David] [08:36] IPFS, man, great tech and you guys have been able to go ahead and utilize it. You you're saying so many you know what it is? We we do get technical on this show, but a lot of protocols are scared to come on here because they think that the audience or people won't understand. I encourage more people to come on, especially the top, you know, such as Filecoin, the top, top, uh, protocols within our space that ultimately, um, I've always been of this opinion, there will come a time where a lot of these cryptocurrencies or these protocols will disappear. Because you know, there's, you know, we don't need 25,000 Filecoins. We need one, and there is one. We don't need 25,000 XRPs and 25,000, you know, Zcashs. We just need one. Uh, not saying that healthy competition is isn't good. I think that's great, but we don't need a thousand of these things. People get confused. Uh, but decentralized storage, that's a big thing. Uh, you know, if we're talking about privacy at this point, all this just makes sense. And you alluded to the AI aspect. Look, AI is coming hard, hard, whether you like it or not. And if you're not participating in it, you're absolutely going to live with regrets, uh, 100%. And I think everybody should be more, uh, way more cautious and way more alert about their data being out there. Now that AI is here. This ain't Web2 anymore. Uh, and especially with AI here, forget about Web3. We can throw that out the conversation. Web2's in danger. Web2 has, you know, everybody talks about quantum computing and and things being cracked. Classic computers are right here for the cracking. I mean, anybody now can, you know, take on any model, and obviously, a good hacker will know exactly what they need to do. So again, you're providing a tool that will be absolutely necessary, uh, 100%. Not in the future, but now. It starts now where people should go ahead and start reading up on it. [Guest: Martha] [03:36] Absolutely. And it's been just phenomenal to get to talk to you about all this. [David] [03:37] I hope that I get you back on here in the next two to four months. I I promise I didn't spell your name wrong. Okay, tell your EA phenomenal job. Okay, I'm scared of her now. I'm just absolutely terrified. I don't even know if I should reply. Uh, but I I I really do appreciate what you guys are building. I appreciate you for coming on here and smiling like it's not a dreaded interview. We'll clip this up. I like to have conversations. I don't even like to have interviews, but we'll chop this up. We're going to throw this onto Instagram and other social media streaming platforms for people to get get to know you and Filecoin. [Guest: Martha] [03:36] Well, fantastic. I would love to come back anytime. And if you do ever want Martha with an H, I'm sure my mom would be happy to come on too. [David] [03:37] Tell Martha I said hello. And how does she do that? [Guest: Martha] [03:36] I know, it's unusual, right? Like she's Ukrainian and her name is pronounced Marta. So she just got rid of the H for me. So, um, but yes, I'm sure she would be delighted if you do want Martha with an H. [David] [03:37] Listen, if she wants to come on the program, we can make this happen. We can bring on her and the EA and we can talk about the spelling of names. I have no problem. We can have an educational uh session on how to use grammar correctly. Um, but I thank you so much. Seriously, I thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day. I know how busy you are. Uh, and I hope that we can bring you on again in the next two to three months, especially when we're in a bull market and everybody's excited and looking for new tech to go into even though you guys have been building out for six years. And by the way, congratulations tomorrow on launching the main net. So that's cool. Listen, I know a lot of this stuff on Filecoin. I didn't want to say it because then it's like I'm interview why you get it. Uh, thank you so much. I appreciate you. [Guest: Martha] [03:36] Thanks so much for having me. It's fantastic. Looking forward to coming back. [David] [03:37] Thanks. She is a vibe. She's a vibe. Somebody said somebody just you don't understand. I'm getting messages like, I'm getting into Filecoin. I don't even know what it is. And I'm you guys, I hate you guys cuz I'm like, I'm obviously I got to be professional. Okay. I don't know if Martha's watching. Mother Martha. I don't know if she's watching. I got to be a professional. You guys are right. I'm buying Filecoin. Tell me where I can go. I'm buying it. Guys, it's not even buying Filecoin. It's not even that. Like you heard it from her. She articulates herself extremely well. It's not even about gains. And yeah, I'm sure you guys can go buy it, whatever. Congratulations. It really is like I've always been big about decentralized decentralized storage. Now I'm even bigger on it because of everything that's going on. I'm talking about how we have we we literally have AI. And it's not even super intelligence yet. Yes, I do. Sorry, Trump. But you you have AI. And hackers are now using AI. Like they they are using it toward like you'll imagine they were already good and now they're using AI. And strong AI models. You need Filecoin. Like you need that in your life. Like if you want to protect your information, you want to use it. You want companies to be using it. I'm not trying to sell it to you guys either. Like to me data is really important. People are like, oh, I'm so scared to use AI. You should be scared you should be scared that your the companies that you're dealing with aren't dealing with Filecoin. That that's what you should be scared of. And I don't know. I sat back. I'm listening to her and I'm like, I'm like movies. I don't know why that popped up into my head. I'm like, the movie industry should be banging on their doors right now saying, how do we get how do we implement Filecoin into our day-to-day? Like do you know how much money they would save? All these leaks. Like Marvel. You know how people always try to leak like the Avengers movies and stuff? How much money they would save using Filecoin? Can you imagine trying to hack that? Good luck. Good luck. She said charting, by the way. She said charting and I know a lot of you guys do not know what charting is. Obviously I understood. I've seen a comment in the in the in the stream. I can already tell who is interested in crypto and who isn't. Okay? It's not that kind of charting. She broke she knows her stuff. And she she's I was going to say, you know what one question I wanted to ask her? Well, I then I can't really ask it because I'm always coming on here and I'm always smiling, right? I'm always happy. I'm happy cuz you wake up every morning, you should be happy. What's so bad about waking up this morning? Nothing. You're alive. You got an extension on your life. Thank God. But she was happy. It wasn't she wasn't happy to see me. I'm just saying she was just happy. Excited. Founders, take notes. I'm sure you know me, I'll call people out. I'm I'm not going to call out anybody. But you come on here and you're like, yeah, so we got, you know, shard 250 Like, bro, you got people watching. These shows get clipped up. They're on TikTok. You got the youth watching on TikTok doing Renegade dances and listening to you. Okay? You got Apple Podcast, Spotify, all over the place. I'm fired up. I am absolutely fired up. I can't believe I got restricted though for that, man. I can't believe I got restricted for some absolute crap. I had fun. I had fun uh I had fun having the conversation with her. 100%. She knows her shit. She knows uh she knows her stuff. She knows. That's who you want leading um leading the charge. You want that person leading the charge. And you don't even need a legal counsel. You don't even need a legal You don't even you're saving money. That's what I was thinking. I I was actually thinking. I'm like, that you know, obviously, you know, you have to do your homework. And I'm like, why the one thing though, you got to think this is mind-boggling. She is she leaves a professional, well, you know, that's a tedious profession. That's a that's tedious work. But she comes to crypto. And she's smiling. Uh maybe give it a week and a person's demeanor or change. No, she's still smiling. She is still smiling. Filecoin isn't a meme coin, man. Come on. What are you talking about? Dude's trying to get Filecoin on come on. Filecoin is a real protocol. Real dope protocol, man. Real dope. I think we'll do big numbers, um, you know, from a number aspect, again, not financial advice, but I think once people realize that they need to go back and find real protocols to go into and not the shit that you guys are currently going into, I think that the realization for Filecoin will be there and and it will propel to new heights. It's kind of like Chainlink in a sense that I'm just saying like Chainlink, Filecoin, all these things are real. They they have an actual use case that that that leaves the Web3 space. Like it's just not just built for Web3. The day that we start succeeding is the day that we stop saying Web2 and Web3. And I've said that for so many years. The day that we stop saying cryptocurrency, NFT, is the day that we start is the day that we know that we've leveled up. You know this is what I want to say. And I've said this at conferences. If you keep on calling things crypto and NFTs, you know we're not there yet in terms of leveling up. The day that it's kind of like, you know, when people used to walk around and say, oh, shit, I just downloaded an MP3, right? You don't say that no more. You just say you tell your friend, hey, I'm listening to this new song. But back in the day, you're like, oh, I just downloaded this new MP3 from Limewire called XYZ, right? That that's what and Limewire, oh my God, talk about talk about needing security. Limewire Limewire would fuck up your computer forever. But anyway, Yeah, Limewire was fucked. The day that we stop calling things NFTs and crypto is the day we know we're moving on to that next level. If you got to tell people that it's a cryptocurrency, or you got to tell people that it's an NFT, we ain't there. We got to make that transition already. And maybe it'll come in the next three to four years. I don't know. I don't know. But we'll be right back cuz I want to touch on the conversation that we were having also about people clapping for you. Why do strangers, people who you don't know clap for you, but the real ones or apparently the real ones, the people that call you friend, where are they? And and notice that the people that call you friend want the most. The strangers don't. Think about that when we get back after this commercial break. [Other] [02:11] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh, wait. Why are we still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix? It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we build Midnight to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. [Other] [04:16] This is Houston. T minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle of this. Is that guy on FOMO? Oh yeah. Let's get back to it everybody. Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. Opportunity cost is simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. For now, the crisis appears to be over. Satellite's up and running. Positions looking good too. There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets is a better to move money at the speed of light.
[Part 5 of 6] [00:00] people are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [00:12] I'm glad to be back. Yes, I'm the good news. [00:17] There we go. United States of America representing. Social optimism does not work. Digital assets is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I'm the modern day Tony Stark. [00:42] I'm glad to be back. Yes, I'm the good news. [00:51] There we go. United States of America representing. Let's get right back to the show. [01:01] It was good having her as a guest, man. It was good having her as a guest. [01:06] I think she uh did a phenomenal job. She'll be a phenomenal leader for obviously Filecoin. She is a phenomenal leader for Filecoin. Um, and I wish them the best of luck. Hopefully we can get her on um, in the next two to three months. Welcome back to the breakdown where we break down obviously the latest in crypto, AI, politics, the biggest stories uh that are that are trending in our world today. Uh, I want to thank everybody who's tuned in. What I was talking about before we went to commercial break was again, it's strangers that ultimately clap harder than anybody else. [01:46] Bottom line. It's just like random people that you don't know and they don't know you that will clap for you. [01:55] Maybe it's because you bring value. Maybe they see something. Maybe they're interested in the conversations that you have. Maybe they're interested in the people that you bring onto your show. There's just some sort of interest where they don't have to get close to you, but they can clap for you. I'm telling you, there there's I'm going to make a video about this to where you see like let's say I'm I'll give you an example, right? I'll I'll give you this example. You have people that let's say somebody's a little bit overweight and they want and they want to get in shape. They want to change their lives, right? And and they start videotaping themselves starting from day one. Like because they they want to make content not for just you, but for themselves showing the aesthetic changes that they have gone through, right? So they start recording and they're posting on social media, right? They're they're posting their journey on social media. Like this is this is day one of me trying to change my life. [02:56] And you'll have friends and family members laugh. Like they'll laugh. They'll say they're joking, but every joke has some truth to it, right? So they'll say they're just joking, but they're laughing, right? They're laughing at you trying to change your life. [03:17] Yet random people that don't know you on the internet, have never met you, have never sat down with you, never had a drink with you, never had food with you, dinner, breakfast, lunch, whatever the case may be. Never went into the same meme token with you. [03:32] They're out here pressing like, retweet, leaving a comment saying, wow, look at this person. They're really they're really doing great. Or they'll leave a message for the creator, for the person trying to, you know, change their lives, saying, keep going. Keep going. It's so keep going. You got this. [03:55] And that's day one. [04:01] So you got random people who don't know you from Adam. Okay? [04:07] That are showing up and supporting you. [04:15] And they don't want nothing in return. They're actually happy to acknowledge your process and your progress, your content and all. [04:26] They're happy to be a part of the journey. Whatever that wherever that journey takes you, they're just happy to be a part of it. They found somebody they they relate with. [04:38] There's something in you or in that person that they relate with. [04:45] It doesn't have to be everything, but there's one thing that that person has stated that they're like, you know what? I've been there. I've been there. I understand. I like this person. Keep talking about that topic. I and and there's a solution, there's value being said within those conversations where that person who's been through the same struggle is like, man, I love this show. I feel I feel better about myself now. Or I feel like there's a solution to a problem that I currently face as well. [05:17] Strangers will acknowledge you. [05:21] Strangers will clap for you. [05:25] They won't be embarrassed that you're out there trying to change your life. [05:32] They won't be the ones booing you either. How crazy is that? I'm telling you, y'all got to sit back and think about what I'm saying. Think about it. [05:44] What's the saying? It'd be your own people. It really it really is your own people. [05:50] It's not for everybody, but most of your own people have a hard time doing this for you. [06:02] Envious, jealousy, that should have been me. [06:08] If you sit a person down and you ask them, why you don't like, why don't you like this individual? [06:15] I don't believe they would have an an honest answer or a factual answer. They could have an opinion, but they won't have an honest take, a factual take. [06:29] Listen, I'm not saying that goes for everybody. There are scumbags, there are assholes. [06:34] But also nobody's perfect. I'm not an angel. [06:40] You know what I love? People out here parading like they're angels. Like they don't got no flaws. Like they got no fixing to go ahead and do. I love it. I love watching it. God bless you, man. To have that kind of confidence, I love seeing it. I love seeing that confidence. That yo, I'm perfect. [07:06] Let me just let you in on something real quick. [07:10] The only perfect human being that walked this earth was crucified. [07:20] That was the only perfect person that you had on this planet. [07:32] Welcome to the breakdown, episode 804, sponsored by Midnight, Polymarket, Cake Wallet and FOMO. [07:39] We're going to go into what I want to do on Friday is I want to go into Midnight City. I also want to trade a little bit. I want to see, I want to figure this out. If I trade every day on FOMO from my front-facing account with just $100, going into some random, whatever it is, some random play and see if I can turn that 100 into a thousand. That that's really it. That's all I want. If by accident that 100 goes to 200 grand, great. But I'm only looking, I want to drop 100 and see if I can turn it into a thousand. I think I think I'm capable of doing that. And you know what? Maybe we'll do that. [08:20] Maybe we'll do that. [08:26] Let's see what I I wrote another letter to TikTok. [08:31] Could you believe and they did not approve the appeal? I don't know what's wrong with TikTok. [08:38] I don't know what's wrong with TikTok. [08:42] I don't understand. [08:45] You know, uh being that I'm like, you know, obviously we talk crypto and and the markets are going to do what the markets are going to do. I personally want to see a pullback in the markets. I I am all for it so I can pick up more. Okay, I want to pick up more. [09:01] Discounted items that you know, I want who doesn't want more Bitcoin? [09:09] I'm going to just give up on TikTok, honestly. To be truthful, I'm going to just focus all my energy on just focus all that energy on Instagram because I'm doing great on Instagram. So I'll just focus my energy there. [09:24] But I I guess this all started this whole conversation because there's a crypto-related, I guess, conversation, but it's also something that you can look at from a from a life perspective. [09:40] Everybody I I feel I've done I'm going to speak for myself because nobody's going to speak for me, so you'd rather just speak for yourself kind of thing, right? I've done so many real I I think I've done more good things for people than bad. Right? I don't know if everybody's perfect. Like for me personally, my personality is I'm a loner. [10:06] And I'm driven to win. Like I am if you look at a Sagittarius, like I I am a fire sign who is driven to succeed. Like I want to succeed. [10:21] Even if I fail, I win. That's like my mindset. [10:26] Because I'm going to get up and I'm going to continue. And I'm going to take the long road, no shortcuts. I could have took VC money a long time ago. I could have been friends with the LA Vape Cabal. [10:39] I could have been you guys don't even understand. If I really wanted to, I could have just been friendly with the LA Vape Cabal. I could have been holding hands with the VCs and I could have sold my soul to the devil. And I didn't. [10:57] And everybody everybody knows that. [11:02] Like without a shadow of a doubt, you don't even have to like me, but you know if I wanted to, I could have. And I didn't. [11:12] For some reason, like I sit back at times and I'm like, I've done a lot. I really do believe in my heart and I've done it for good reasons. From the it it comes from the soul, the heart, like I I I've done it because I wanted to. [11:30] But I feel like in return, maybe there's been one or two people or three people that have appreciated it, but most haven't. And then they have the audacity to ask for something. [11:45] Like people are like, listen, I I again, I wish I had your confidence. I really like I have a different kind of confidence. I wish I had your confidence where you can shit on a person and then come back and say, hey, it's water under the bridge. I need a favor or I or they want to slide in and say, hey, nothing really happened. [12:13] 2023 or 24ish. [12:18] I think it 24, 25, beginning 25. [12:23] Here I am minding my own business, saying that I'm going to be a market participant. And my name is just dragged. It's like, let's drag David's name so we can go to new levels. I'm serious. Let's use David as a stepping stone. [12:46] So our brands can be seen, so I can be visible. You don't need to do that. [12:53] You don't need to drag somebody in order to be visible. If you need to drag somebody, if you need to make somebody else look bad, if you need to slander somebody, in order for you to level up, then it means that you're not talented. It means that you absolutely suck. [13:14] And it means that you will only have 15 minutes of fucking fame. I've seen it, I've been here, I've watched. [13:24] I'm here because I do, regardless of what you think, I provide value. There's a value proposition in my shows. There's value that comes out of my mouth. There's value when I get onto this microphone and I look into this camera. There's a reason why VCs want to shut me down. [14:03] It's just factual. [14:07] So when people start tell you know, I used to go out there. I think it was a different time where you can go out and you can say, yo, I really love this meme and I love this asset and I love this, that. And like people would praise you. I think it was a different maybe the adults were in the room. [14:25] And even when you got into heated debates, it was adult adults in the room that knew how to separate from the debate and say, okay, we're cool. We don't agree. It is what it is. Move on. [14:38] Now you have people if you make a call, as soon as it go, they don't talk about it going to millions. They talk about it going to zero. [14:47] So now they're like, you see, it went to zero. [14:51] It's never about it going up. It's always about it going down. And it's kind of like, why do you want to be a caller? [14:59] From an ego perspective, yeah, maybe. [15:07] Maybe. [15:15] But when people ask me to shout out assets now, no. [15:21] No, no, no. And it's not because I don't like you. It's because I'm I'm I'm the same energy. [15:28] I'm giving everybody the same it is a two-way street. [15:33] Same energy is going to be coming from me now. That's it. It has to happen. I have been way too naive and way too open. [15:44] Way too nice in a space that isn't nice. This space is not nice. [15:57] This space is absolutely terrible. [16:03] People don't even know this, but they look I'll give you another thing. [16:09] My haters will say that they don't watch the show. Meanwhile, I can see every single person who watches the show even if they don't type. [16:22] So many of them were here for Hunter Biden too. And Grant Cardone, watching. [16:30] But pretending that they weren't here. [16:34] Is the first time that I say this, but I laugh. [16:41] I appreciate it. Thank you for tuning in. [16:50] I'm the best at what I do. At the end of the day, and you can take it however you want. I am the best when it comes to running a show. I am the best when it comes to breaking things down. I bring phenomenal guests on. I know what I'm doing. I know how to analyze crypto, digital assets. I know how to talk politics. I know how to talk about AI because I am studying it every single day. I use AI agents. I deployed AI bots now. I know how to have a conversation about AI and I ain't trying to sell you a goddamn iMac Mini either. I am here and I'm not sponsored by no, you know, Anthropic or Open AI, none of that stuff. I know how to talk about all these subjects. Funny thing is, all these guests that come on, the thing that they always say is I enjoyed the time because the conversation was real. I finally came onto a show where we're having a convo. I'm happy to be on the show. You've seen our guest today, happy to be on the show. That is the difference. That is aura. That is born with effort and skill and talent. So you can wish upon a star for me to fail, but that star ain't going to do nothing for you. That's like me talking about the Cowboys today. A lot of people praying that the Cowboys, you know, go to the Super Bowl and win it. God ain't listening. [18:14] People will say, why are you patting yourself on the back? Because you're your biggest fan and you should always pat yourself on the back. You should always look at yourself and say that you are an amazing human being. You can do phenomenal things if you just put the effort into it, okay? You can tell yourself, you can say these things and there is nothing wrong with it. You're not narcissistic. You are not egotistical, none of that stuff. You are somebody who appreciates you. It's time for people to appreciate themselves. [18:50] How many of your friends have ever told you that you're great? Think about that. I just told you a story. I told you a story of how people are trying to lose weight. They record their progress and their friends don't clap, but strangers do. How many people have told you that you are great, that you're uh that you're a vibe, that you deliver value? You got to think about that. How many of your friends have done that? Not a lot. [19:14] And if they do, it's transactional. Yet again, strangers, people you don't know, they'll tell you, man, amazing. They'll come onto your show, they're blown away. People come onto my show, they're like, holy shit, I didn't know you're dressing up in a suit. [19:30] A lot of people are caught off guard. [19:33] And then they want to come back because they're like, he takes his craft seriously. This is a person who gets up every single day, puts on a suit, gets on a microphone and has something to talk about every single time he's on his show. There's never a dull moment on his show. He is here whipping that candy ass. [20:00] Nobody can say he does not do that. [20:03] Nobody can ever say that I do not put the effort in. You can say there are people that are more talented than me and I'll agree with you. There are people that are probably more talented than me. Guess what? They're not more driven. [20:17] There's a reason why certain people succeed in life. I've read books on Jordan, I've read books on uh Kobe Bryant, on Gretzky, Schumacher, the greatest legends who have ever Michael Phelps walked the face of this planet. [20:36] They might have not been the most talented. [20:41] But they were driven. They were delusionally driven to succeed. That's what I am. [20:49] And guess what? [20:51] This is what I absolutely fucking learned about myself. [20:56] I learned how to control. [21:01] I learned control. [21:03] And that's the biggest thing. When you when you grow in life, when you you become more experienced, you learn how to control the passion, the determination, the rage, the fire that you have inside. You learn how to apply it correctly. [21:31] I'm going to tell you right now. [21:35] You're born with aura or you're not. [21:48] You're either born with the aura or you don't got it at all. You can't manufacture it. There are people that walk into a room and that very second that walk in that energy is undeniable. [22:03] It's undeniable. [22:06] What do I say and what have I said with the clips that I've put out recently? It's great to be motivated. [22:13] But motivation only takes you so far. It's being dedicated and absolutely delusional about what you want to accomplish that gets you through everything. [22:30] Deion Sanders says, your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. And that right there, that quote that Deion said is what everybody should probably live by. [22:46] Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. [22:54] And that's the truest shit that anybody can say. You know who you are. Nobody can tell you who you are. [23:04] Not a single person. [23:07] I think the problem is at times people listen way too much to people and they become that person that they're not. [23:14] And it's unfortunate. People become something that they're really not, but the more that people talk about that and they're in that environment, they become that. It's what I talk about how you can become a millionaire. If you're surrounding yourself with millionaires, then you have million dollar conversations. You you see million dollar work ethics. And it's the same thing with billionaires, right? You surround yourself with billionaires, you become a billionaire because you're surrounded by people who work and that are driven with a billion dollar mentality. And you learn that and you become a billionaire. That's it's not that they're handing you checks. Again, it's you you're a part of an environment that allows you to understand what it takes. [24:03] What it takes. And not everybody, listen, not everybody who's surrounded by millionaires becomes a millionaire. [24:15] That that's not what happens. Not everybody who's surrounding themselves with millionaires or billionaires becomes one. You you got to you got to have it inside of you. Like there can't be it can't be this. You can't be living in this time right now. [24:33] In in an era where you can become a millionaire. You I'm telling you, if you took it seriously, you could become a millionaire. This is a generation where it is the easiest time to become a millionaire. [24:47] If you just focus, like if you utilize the tech that we have here, if you I mean, crypto's a baby. AI is absolutely a baby. Even though it is moving at the speed of light, it's still a baby. You have you have been born in a time where you can absolutely dominate. Where you don't have to get your hands dirty. [25:12] You're sitting in a chair. [25:15] You're sitting in a lazy boy for some of you guys. You got an internet connection, you got a phone, which is a computer. If you got an if you got a smartphone, that's a computer in your hands. If you cannot generate money, if you cannot think of a if a problem that needs a solution and you can be that solution, then you're doing it all wrong. [25:41] There are so many businesses that need you right now. [25:45] As long as you know how I like I'm just saying from an AI perspective. So many of these businesses don't know how to implement it. Don't know how to use it. You have people that are out there AI influencers or influencers that I've watched them. They're like, yeah, I know what I'm you know nothing. [26:06] But they know those are the buzzwords. AI and I know implement them in AI agents. Because most people don't know what the
[Part 6 of 6] [David] [00:00] fuck it is or how it works. [David] [00:04] I'm telling you, there's so many people out there that are now using the word AI, an AI influencer, that or AI expert, that people are just hiring them because they're saying or they're spitting a few good bars and they're like, oh, this guy must know what he's doing. Bring him in to the company. He can fix it. Or fix our company, he can potentially make us more revenue, cut costs. Meanwhile, the motherfucker don't know nothing. [David] [00:32] He saw a YouTube video. He dabbled in it. He got the basis of it. [David] [00:39] I'm telling you, there's going to be a lot of people, a lot of people that are going to come out wealthy in the next two years because they took life seriously. They took the tech seriously, they took life seriously, they took themselves seriously and they've given themselves a chance. They have given themselves a chance for once in their lives to say, you know what? I can win. I can absolutely win. [David] [01:06] Anyway. [David] [01:11] Welcome to the breakdown. [David] [01:15] Sponsored by Midnight, Midnight City. That's going to be great. Hopefully everybody's getting in line for Midnight City. Also, the breakdown is also sponsored by Poly Market. The mindset of a trader, they write thesis on there. You should be looking at, I'm going to use FOMO right now. What I'm going to do is I'm going to do $100 a day going into something on FOMO to see and I'm going to try to catch it in with volume. So I'm not just putting $100 in something and waiting. I'm going to look at things that have volume to it, put $100 in and see if I can make a thousand. Who knows? 30 days, $1,000, you go ahead and do the math. [David] [02:25] In reality, it's really simple. In in all reality, it's absolutely simple. [David] [02:32] On that note, I want to thank everybody for tuning in and watching. I appreciate you guys. I'll be back tomorrow. We'll have a guest on as well. We are booked with guests. So we will have more guests on. We'll talk more about Bitcoin, we'll talk more about AI, crypto, digital assets, politics. We got it all coming, okay? I appreciate you guys for tuning in from LinkedIn, from X, from YouTube, from I wish I could say Instagram. I got to figure that shit out, man. I wish I could say TikTok, but TikTok, terrible what you're doing to me, TikTok. Terrible what you're doing to me. [David] [03:15] As always, I just want to say this. I'm going to read out obviously a quote, but I want to wish, I hope that you guys, I hope all you guys win. Whether you like me or not, I hope every single person that is really out here trying to be something in life. I hope you make it. I hope you, I hope your dreams really do come true. I know it's fantasy and shit like that, but I hope for those that are working their asses off, I hope everything works out in your favor. [David] [03:45] The one thing I never do is even even the people that dislike me and even use the word hate and hate is a strong word. Even for those individuals, I hope their heart heals or something. I hope they see therapy, but I hope they also win at the end of the day. [David] [04:04] I really do. I mean that when I say it. [David] [04:08] I mean it. I don't just say shit. I I don't I don't really care about being liked. [David] [04:17] This this could be something for you guys. [David] [04:24] Here's a quote. I'm not spending another year talking myself out of a life I want. Okay? I'll say that again. I'm not spending another year talking myself out of the life I want. Okay? Stop spending time talking yourself out of being great. [David] [04:46] You know what? I'll I'll give you another one. I like this one. Before we go. [David] [04:53] I feel this way. [David] [04:56] You know, it's crazy. As you get, as you get older, as you get older. I have no prime. I will forever evolve into a better version of myself. There is no final form, no finish line, just consistent growth. Every season of my life will demand a different version of me and I welcome that challenge. I am not here to peak. I'm not here to rise again and again, to shed old layers, to break old patterns, to unlearn what no longer serves me and step boldly into what does. This journey isn't about perfection, it's about progression. And as long as I am breathing, I will keep leveling up because greatness is not a moment, it's a mindset. [David] [05:51] Thank you for joining the show. I'll always be in my prime. Thank you for joining the show. I appreciate you guys. Thank you for tuning in. I'll see you tomorrow. God bless you. Have a great day as a Kill Patterson would say and an even better tomorrow.
