[Part 1 of 6] [00:00] Orange worth a digital credit this year. And the most successful IPO of the year was stretch, it's STRC. It was two and a half billion dollars. [00:08] I couldn't have done any of it without AI. If if we had not had AI, we would be $8 billion less. We had five IPOs, none of them would have happened because I used AI to design the securities and solve all the tax problems and all the securities law issues. You know, so I like I'm a big believer in using AI to design new things. And look, I'm just I I focus upon digital credit and security, but there's someone there thinking about how to make a car drive and cure cancer and like like aren't there like a hundred million problems the human race has to solve that we that you're like, well, you're going to need a thousand people with PhD to solve that. Well, guess what? Now every 16-year-old has a thousand PhDs at their fingertips. And so I'm very bullish. The world's going to be a much better place and and we're going to see an age of empowerment and abundance because of the digital technology. [01:09] People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. Not really. I mean, people who buy gold are trying to preserve. We've been greedy centuries. We have centuries of people being greedy to go ahead and acquire gold. Well, no, well, you're talking about to acquire wealth. Yes, people are greedy in that they want they want more things and there's nothing wrong with that. But when they're converting what they've earned into gold, that's not the greedy part. That's the preservation part. I I I've I've earned all this money because I was greedy. Now I don't want to lose it. I want to store it so I can use it later. I don't want to blow it all right now. I want to hold on to it. And, you know, gold is a way to do that. You can't really do that in a fiat currency that's just being printed, you know, into oblivion. So, uh, but but but, you know, the the greed is in the speculative frenzy that accompanies Bitcoin. [02:02] They tell me that I'm the reason they own Bitcoin because they listened to me years ago about economics, about sound money and and and the Fed and inflation, and I'm the one that got them. Plus, there's a lot of great technology in Midnight that's going to make the use of Cardano safer. Like Midnight passport will be the fastest, safest, and easiest way to use Cardano. So, we gain all the usability enhancements. Plus, I'd argue Midnight is an essential component for Bitcoin. Bitcoin users. When you look at that side of it, you're like, okay, Bitcoin users, they want privacy. So, Cardano could do a lot of the heavy lifting on the programming side, but where does the private coordination layer exist for all that? So, we're actually working on this program, our Bitcoin DFI setup, what we call it the the circle. So, you start with Bitcoin and tap root. I'm going to put 50 Bitcoin of my own money into this to prove it works. But you start with tap root and uh Bitcoin, you lend it to a stable coin. So, that'll cross Cardano through a specialized transaction through these color bridge. And then that stable coin would then be deployed into a yield bearing instrument. And then as you make yield, the yield is converted to Bitcoin, and then it sets your tap root. And then Midnight coordinates all of it with this private. So, you have like all three networks working together, and then you have this circle, and then from the Bitcoin user's perspective, you just give them a button, make money, click the button. And then it locks their Bitcoin, they just start generating a yield. The security actually enters the tap root on the Bitcoin network. So, it meets my three rules that I have for Bitcoin DFI. One, there's only Bitcoin. No other token. [03:36] Bitcoin, Litecoin is better money than than fiat, obviously. It's also better money than gold. I think it's I believe it's the best form of money that um humans have ever come across. Right? Money being good meaning that it's um it's inflation proof, right? No one, no single person, company or or government can print more money, right? Can't print money and inflate away the money you're holding. Uh, you're storing. Right? That's kind of one of the key things about money is if you work hard and you make money, you don't want that money to kind of disappear over time, not from your own doing. Right? So that's that's key and Bitcoin, Litecoin and most cryptocurrencies um is able to to do that. [04:22] I could have the argument that real estate's better than Bitcoin. For a number of reasons, by the way, depending on who you are. Um, your audience could probably disagree because they're probably a bunch of, you know, Bitcoin maximalists. [04:36] They don't have as much Bitcoin as the real estate guy, by the way. No, I I'll tell you right now, hold on one second. See, that's the funny thing, dude. That me and my brother were talking about this yesterday. You know, the guys that know the most seem to have the least. [04:51] 100%. That that I can probably agree with you on. I think it should be a bigger issue within the crypto system and the ecosystem. What do you think? [05:00] I think it will be. I think privacy is going to be the the new if you want in my view, and this is what I'm tasking the investment professionals at Mailstrom to sort of figure out. I think that the stand out shitcoin or, you know, few shitcoins of 2026 to 2028 will be related in some way shape or form to privacy. We already saw the, you know, amazing move of Zcash over the last few months. Yes, it's down 50% from the 780 high, but I think again, my goal is, you know, my mental model is 10 to 20% of value that Bitcoin has. Zcash is up. So much higher than where it is today. But, you know, you know, taking away Zcash, what is the token project or protocol that's going to utilize some privacy technology, I'll be something related to ZK or knowledge proofs to do something whether that's quantum resistant, you know, the AI overlord can't be anonymize their data or, you know, see what you're doing, whatever it is, right? These are the things that we're relatively afraid of of of what bad things that could happen with this proliferation of Big Tech, Big government. [06:09] Trump getting elected and knowing that we share friends in the White House for all the populist parties of Europe who are under attack. Every single populist leader, if you look at the links, and my last documentary was called Silence. I got 18 months in prison for my last documentary. The reason I aired it was because the documentary was so bigger than me. It's exactly what they're doing. Lawfare has been waged against if you go through, I'll pick anyone. Pick Hertz, the leader of the Dutch party. Pick Marine Le Pen. Any politician in Europe, yeah? Anyone, pick anyone who has stood up and tried to speak against immigration, and you will see a history. Matteo Salvini, I was with him two days ago, the deputy Prime Minister of of Italy was prosecuted in 2020. They said he kidnapped because he stopped the boat. He was prosecuted in 2021. He was then charged. The process is the punishment. Every political leader who's tried to step up was charged. You saw it done to Bannon, you saw it done to Stone, you saw it done to Trump. That's happening across the board. They're of the totalitarian state. But I think it's probably because you elected Trump on very optimistic about the future. He's not because we're not in. We're assimilate. The public already. The public already. [07:27] So the other thing about it is there's just a lot of power, you know. It's going to have a meaningful impact in the 2022 election. There are certain races that were absolutely going to be lost that are still in play because there's still money coming in. And that keeps things like the Cordiac alive, which has been changed a lot. They've had many conversations to try to get it into a better shape and hopefully September 15th will actually be able to get it over the line. They have a lot of cross in the years where they actually did. There were almost 300 pages of adjustments and modifications and other things. I don't think anybody realized what was working on it. I talked to Terry God. I said, Terry, he's terrible. He said, you know, we worked on this three times longer than Obama worked on this. And that was our response to the 2008 financial crisis. [08:12] This is politics and the need to get crypto and our industry out of these partisan out of these partisan issues. It's really not healthy to treat any technology as some kind of political pawn. This isn't about Republicans, this isn't about Democrats. This is about freedom. This is about giving people access to their assets online. It's about allowing them to transact globally without an intermediary. It's about the economy, it's about innovation, it's about future finance. This isn't about red versus blue. We need to get out of that. They've been very negative on Bitcoin and crypto, but even published statements calling it rat poison 2.0 or pet rocks or, you know, name your name your funny name. Now these same institutions have now understood that Bitcoin is your to stay and oh, we need to get a piece of the pie as well because if I had a genie and three wishes that I could make gold better, my first wish would be shrink the supply to 21 million coins and make it illegal to make any more. And my second wish would make it invisible and teleportable and indestructible. And let me carry as much gold, you know, in my pocket as I possibly can. And my third wish would be make it programmable so a billion AIs can can teleport it and transform it a million times a minute so that I can put it on a, you know, a billion computers and and have it have it get traded back and forth 37,000 times while I'm sleeping, right? And I would think digital gold as I just described it, it's got to be better and more valuable than physical gold and especially in the 21st century when you're looking at 10 billion computers and 10 billion AIs and 10 billion mobile devices and, you know, you never teleporting an ounce of gold on an iPhone. So I just think it's digital gold. It's got to be 10x to 100x better than gold. [11:04] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh wait. I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to sharing the value it creates. Or maybe it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating, and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So, why hasn't it happened yet? Why are we still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix? It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we built Midnight to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. [13:32] Is that guy in FOMO? Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair. Opportunity knocks. It's simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. This. For now, the crisis appears to be over. Satellite up and running. Positions look good too. [14:54] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Also, Polymarket is the official prediction market sponsor of the breakdown. And yeah, I should stop doing the sound effects because people are listening or will listen to this show. They will listen to this show on Apple Podcast and Spotify and I Heart Music and also Amazon Music. So, maybe I should stop. I don't know. We'll go ahead and discuss the markets. We'll see what's popping, what's happening. We will see what what is happening. I um, there's a lot to talk about. I'm really interested into diving into uh, 100% I'm going to dive into uh, your so-called favorite traders getting smoked. Absolutely smoked. Smoked. In Korea. At the Korean conference. Smoked. Damn, that's what happens when you don't have the back channels helping you in 4K or in real time, I should say. If nobody else will say it, I'm going to say it for I told you, Monday, I said moving forward, I don't I'm already the bad guy. So, fuck it, I'm going to own it. I I will own this. I will absolutely own this. Y'all got smoked. Y'all talk such a big game. You show off your P&Ls. You go to a conference for live trading and you get smoked. Y'all can't trade. You guys cannot trade. I know that 100%. That's right. I'm fucking smiling because it happened in 4K. And that's not a one-off. That ain't a one-off either. That's right. Let's bring in Landy here for uh 10 minutes to talk about the markets. Landy, what's going on? How's everything going? [19:59] [Guest: Landy] Good. Good. Yeah, it's been uh, it's been a little while. It's good to see you, David. [20:03] [David] Good to see you too. So, what's going on with the markets? What are you seeing? [20:07] [Guest: Landy] Well, you know, today's the day, um, where especially for Bitcoin in particular, but today's a big day. We've got, um, we've got the the monthly and quarterly close, right? Um, Bitcoin is currently, um, and I would say many cryptocurrencies, uh, especially in the majors are currently sitting at or above some very important bear market levels. And this is kind of where you want to see closing price come in by 8:00 p.m. Eastern. So, um, it's 0 UTC. We'll have traditional markets obviously here in the US are going to be closing, uh, earlier, but 0 UTC is when all crypto markets close. Um, and, uh, and we get the new open for the monthly and quarterly. So, for Bitcoin, which is, you know, what I'm watching to kind of give us the overall, um, sentiment in the market and kind of a read on what's going on for the rest of the market is, uh, right at, uh, 84,000, a little bit above, starting to push towards 84 and a half after a nice spike in the early hours today, uh, to, you know, just above 85. And we saw this spike, uh, kind of across the board for most cryptocurrencies. And realistically, what you need to see is, uh, closes above 82.8. Um, that would actually break on a closing basis the last, uh, or the lower high of the bear market. So, you know, encouraging signs, um, for Bitcoin, uh, for the crypto space. And, um, then it's about watching, you know, as I've said many, many times, you know, wherever the highs do come in, it's about watching the next longer-term time frame move down, you know, dailies into weeklies that are on the downside. Um, and seeing where a low comes in relative to the lower lows across the board. So, for Bitcoin, that would be 57,750. So, if Bitcoin does get its close above 82.8, that would be a a bear trend break on a monthly time frame. A nice quarterly close, it would also set a quarterly low. Um, and then it's all about the next bigger move down to see if we can't, you know, confirm the, uh, macro low being in, uh, with higher low or equal low structures that relates to that, you know, low that came in back in, um, back in June and into July. So, you know, I think it's an encouraging environment. I I think that, uh, if you are just kind of, um, you know, if you're not a chart person, but you are just kind of paying attention, you know, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, kind of take a look and see where the closing price came in. Because, um, it's not necessarily, you know, uh, if price moves down from here or if it even pushes up and then eventually goes and starts moving back down in a corrective manner, um, that's the time that you really really want to pay attention because that's, um, a trend break to a, you know, wherever things might bottom out is going to tell us a lot about, um, you know, whether or not we are pulling through the other side and loading up for, uh, a bear market trend reversal structure and, um, and potentially headed much, much, much higher. [23:23] [David] I I have people saying that we might hit 100k by the end of the year. What are your thoughts on that? [23:29] [Guest: Landy] Um, you know, it's not completely, uh, bonkers to say that. Um, there is a path there. Uh, I would definitely want to see some corrective structure before doing that. So, for instance, from this particular move up, um, there is actually the possibility, you know, if if we hold in and around these areas, especially above around 82 and a half to 83, um, yeah, we can dip below. You want to see the close specifically above 82.8, uh, today. But, um, you know, if we're, you know, in the mid 70s or hanging out above the mid 70s and start breaking out above 86 again, that's going to rope in, you know, 88 to 90 and anywhere above there, you know, we're looking at a pretty wide zone in the low 90s at 93 and a half to 98 to 100k. Yeah. So, it's not out of the question. Um, I would I would argue that, you know, maybe lower 90s is more possible and then see how a correction goes from there. I wouldn't say that that's a bonkers take. Uh, but that that would assume that we are going to get probably some higher low structure, um, on the longer-term time frames, which you wouldn't want to see for that target to be hit is the corrective structure to begin later. Like we just go push a little bit higher and then we get a correction all the way through to the end of the year. Um, whether it be a bullish correction into higher low structure or not. Um, you know, but right now, uh, the bulls are holding up well, um, and really it's about, uh, breaking through the most recent highs, big weekly zone between 86 and 89. Breaking towards 88 to 90, getting closes above there would start to rope in the low 90s. And that's a big zone. Low 90s recaptured, then, you know, 98 to 100k is is on the board for sure. Something I've been showing in my analysis. But we are right at resistance, um, on a weekly and we're holding support on a monthly. So, it's really this is in more near term, that's what I would pay attention to. Is just hanging out and closing above the monthly zone, 82.8, 83k, somewhere around there by the end of tonight. And then we just enjoy any further upside from here and then we await any larger corrections and corrective structure on longer-term time frames. [25:55] [David] So, your thought process has completely has it changed? I'm going to ask you this question. [26:00] [Guest: Landy] No, not until I see the close. [26:02] [David] So, today's the close. [26:03] [Guest: Landy] Yes. [26:04] [David] And when you see it today, then you'll go ahead and see. [26:08] [Guest: Landy] Yeah, if I see a close, if I see a close above of above 82.
[Part 2 of 6] [Guest: Landy] [00:00] eight, then we are, you know, we're in a 50/50 position, right? For the uh bear market, um transition into a bull market, meaning that the macro low is, is uh likely already in. Doesn't mean that it can't be swung by the way, because we've done that uh in the past in 2015. Um, but it would very likely hold up. Uh, because when, when you get a macro trend break on a monthly time frame, um, so we get a downtrending structure break on a closing basis for a higher term time frame, a monthly and then also set a quarterly low. That's huge. That's huge for Bitcoin. Um, so, you know, it would be, you know, it's still 50/50 because I need to see the structure, but it would definitely uh tip tip the scales uh to to even. And and you could argue that maybe even more in favor of the bulls on the on any kind of a move down because any kind of a uh larger correction from here, you'll have a lot of participation in that move down trying to bid it back up. Hey, I missed the low, I better get in now kind of mentality. And that usually is what sets those higher lows or equal lows. [David] [01:14] Do you see any possibility that we still go into, I guess, the 50s? [Guest: Landy] [01:19] So, one, it can never be ruled out, right? Even if we get a structure break, um, that's why the next big move down matters so much. But it really it becomes a less likely target if we get a structure break. Do we, have we seen deviations of structure, um, like that where we get a bear market trend break and then and then make new lows? We have seen it, um, and there's only really one example of that in Bitcoin's history and that's 2015. But the one difference is in 2015, we didn't close above the bear market lower high, we just swung above it. Um, if we close above it, it is going to it is going to really shift, um, in favor of the bulls on a big move down. So I do think it would be far less likely, uh, but it cannot be entirely ruled out. That's why I say it's not about the move up right now. And it with one caveat, you do want to see a trend break on a close. It's more about the next big move down and the next big correction down because that's what's going to define higher lower equal low structure, even if it's just local. Um, and and tell us like, hey, that's a solid macro low that is in there. [David] [02:38] I am um, looking at the charts and I'm I I've already said this multiple times, bullish sentiment this year. We're just waiting for confirmation onto the charts. [Guest: Landy] [02:50] Yeah. I would argue, I would argue the same, especially when it comes to um, to to uh, large capital players, right? So you're, you're big institutional players. You know, they I I've mentioned this to you before that I found this very interesting. On the move down in um, you know, in June into July when we put in the actual lows down there at 57, 750. It was only the second time in Bitcoin's history. And it happens to be the second time in in Bitcoin's history since the spot ETFs have launched and this is only when we've observed this thus far. Um, CME uh, flipped long. So they went majority long on the call side. So they were betting on price going up. We have only ever seen that once before and that was, you know, post uh, spot ETFs being launched. Um, and at the same time off of that low side structure there, we saw that all of the shorts that were in on the spot ETFs evaporated as of course those players went long on the lows. And um, you know, that was something that I I talked to you about here and and on my show and many other places. I found very interesting because that is something that that is a fundamental that has helped push price up further. And I think that uh, if we break structure here at 82, 8, $83,000 on the close, I think the next big move down, you're going to see them continue to even go even more net long. Um, in in this particular asset and crypto assets in general because it wasn't just Bitcoin that went net long on, they went net long on Ethereum too. [David] [03:59] Overall, um, the numbers today that came in, um, hold on. That's what I wanted to talk about because we got a few, we got two minutes here. [Guest: Landy] [04:48] Yeah. [David] [04:49] Yeah, that came in, um, that came in low, right? Lower than expected. [Guest: Landy] [04:54] No, no, no. It came in higher. Okay, so there's two [David] [04:56] No, no, no. The numbers, hold on. [Guest: Landy] [04:58] There's two assessments, right? So you have index price came in lower, which is good. And then you have final GDP quarter over quarter growth, which came in well above forecast, which is good. So you actually had two good things today. [David] [05:13] Yeah. No, I was looking at that today. I wanted to talk about, well, I I will touch upon it uh later in the show today after uh Eva comes on here at 12:45 and we go ahead and chop it up about, um, you know, I want to ask her, listen, younger generation participating in the memes. I want to kind of understand uh, you know, how they see things. I see things from a uh a totally different point of view. I've been watching very carefully everything that's going on within this whole crypto ecosystem and how things have changed and how people have put together this package for the ecosystem. Uh, I want to use the right words so I don't get censored or taken down on Apple podcast. [David] [06:00] But, but the way it's been packaged has been crazy watching it. But today I took great joy in watching uh the greatest traders here that call themselves, you know, the so-called celebrities. Okay? That they they call themselves that now. Uh, they went out to the the Korean conference and got destroyed in 4K. They can't trade. They cannot trade. And I I've been saying, I'm going to be the bad guy. I have no problem with it. I've always been the bad guy for some reason. But that's only because I I just I'm blunt. So apparently I'm bad because I like, but you know what? They went out there and a and a girl whipped that ass. Even though she lost at the end, I mean, your favorite influencer, K O L, your trader, your celebrity trader got their asses whooped. [Guest: Landy] [06:52] [laughs] [David] [06:54] And I took full joy in it. I just want, I want you to know that I enjoyed every minute of it. I took some deep satisfaction in it. Because I know you motherfuckers can't trade. Y'all didn't have your group chat to help you. I've always been this way. That hey, listen, this is why people, you either love me or you hate me. I could care less which one. You didn't have the group chat to go ahead and give you the call. And you had to do this in front of people. You had to trade in front of people in real time, long, short. You had to make decisions. I told you, false prophets. These are the same people that went ahead and asked, whoa, what? Caught myself. Same people that bent you over last time and left you with 13 assholes. They just showed you how they trade. I said it on yesterday's program, if you want to get Malaniud, you want to get Librud, continue to follow these people. [applause] Round of applause for me. Sorry. Um, Landy will be on tonight. [Guest: Landy] [08:34] Yep. [David] [08:35] At 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Yes? [Guest: Landy] [08:38] Yes, sir. [David] [08:40] Uh, you can also catch him on plenty of spaces where they break down the markets and they talk about the markets and they have to listen to Ryan speak slow. Um, [Guest: Landy] [08:52] Oh, Brian's well. [David] [08:54] He's a good lad. [Guest: Landy] [08:55] He he is a he is a good lad. I I agree. [David] [08:58] He's a good lad. A good lad. Um, okay. Perfect. We are now on YouTube, so you can go ahead and check out, check us out on YouTube. That's it. It's YouTube, strictly YouTube. Everything else we stream out to everywhere. But it's YouTube. That's it. That's it. We'll crack the algorithm. We somehow will crack the algorithm. I do have to shut off. That that's what I need to do. That's what I've been saying to myself. I need to shut off. I'm sorry, actually media, but I have to shut you off. And then I got to shut you off as well. Because the show runs on like multiple YouTube channels and it's a little bit confusing. So I get it. So it's off now. Landy, as always, you're a gentle puppet. I had to change the way. You're a gentle man, but uh you are a fine puppet. [Guest: Landy] [10:02] Well, thank you. [David] [10:03] Giving out the alpha. [Guest: Landy] [10:04] I hear that a lot. A fine puppet indeed. [David] [10:08] A fine puppet. Look at that. Oh, thank you, David. Shout out to your team, the Bills. God bless the Bills. And and shout out to the Giants. Uh, I'm sure next week we'll lose another star player. Anyway, uh, we just [Guest: Landy] [10:20] Oh, jeez. I I by the way, I know you got a I got a person coming on. I feel I feel for you, brother. That is brutal. It is brutal. It's like one hit after another. [David] [10:29] I I don't know what's worse. Like I'm looking at the season right now. Odell Beckham did everything possible to make this team and he and I think he's like, if you were to look at the roster, he's probably like the number two wide receiver. I hope he goes to LA, uh, to the Rams or he can go to the Raiders. There are so many places that need wide receivers. I think he's going to kill it. Um, we lose our quarterback, which fucking it sucks. Jackson Dark goes down for the entire year. Then we lose Brian Burns, who is a phenomenal, I mean, phenomenal linebacker. We lose him, uh, for the rest of the year to a torn ACL because Metlife Metlife Stadium is phenomenal. You know, when it comes to tearing your Achilles and your ACLs, you come to Metlife. We're we're ranked the worst arena, okay? The worst stadium in the entire NFL. You think you'd change the goddamn turf to grass, but it is what it is. And then we bring in J.J. McCarthy. Oh my God. And and my boy Jameson, man, I love Jameson. I love Jameson, but he's blind. So like at this point, it is what it is. Landy, God bless you. Have fun. Enjoy Josh Allen. Enjoy your early exit in the playoffs, but shout out to you guys, the Bills. [Guest: Landy] [11:55] I hope not. [David] [11:55] Okay, the Buffalo, the Canadian Bills love to go ahead and see them. [Guest: Landy] [11:59] [laughs] [Guest: Landy] [12:00] Well, David, it was good to see you again. You're looking good. Glad to see you back at a normal time and uh, and I look forward to talking to you. [David] [12:07] Hey, the time might change. I'm I'm going through times. It might be it might be 10:00 to 10:00 to 12:00 or it might be 4:00 to 6:00. I don't know which way it is, but I am back in the gym and I'm back working out. And goddamn it, knock on wood. I got garlic around my neck, protecting me from any voodoo sent my way. Okay. Landy, it's good to see you, man. [Guest: Landy] [12:36] Well, take care, David. I'll see you tomorrow. [David] [12:39] Have a good one, Landy. Check out Landy, uh, Landy will host the show tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You can check him out as he breaks down the markets. He'll talk about the markets. I had to ask Landy about the the 100K because we had Dave who was on yesterday. He made mention that there is that possibility. And I wanted to ask Landy about the possibilities and Landy will be watching the closes. Landy's good at this shit. He understands what's happening. I bust his chops, but he knows what he knows what time it is. He knows exactly what's happening. Anyway, we'll be right back after this commercial. I shut, didn't I shut everything down? I shut it down. Why is it still? I shut this shit down, man. Why is it still playing? Okay, it's on their streaming, their streaming, their Am I crazy? Am I, am I crazy? Am I crazy? I'm not crazy. I know I'm not crazy. Anyway, we'll be back right after this. [Ad] [13:43] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh, wait. So, why hasn't that happened yet? Why are we still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix? It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we built Midnight, to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. [Ad] [15:46] This is Houston. T minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. Is that guy on FOMO? Oh yeah. Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room. The satellite has been restored. Yes. For now, the crisis appears to be over. Satellite's up and running. Positions looking good too. [Ad] [17:34] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I'm here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I am the modern day Tony Stark. [David] [18:02] What's going on? Man, I just I'm juggling, I'm juggling here, I'm juggling here. Welcome back to the breakdown episode 794. We're live on YouTube. We're also streaming on Kick, X, not the drug, okay, Twitter. I I can't say X. I I can't say X no more. Because now we're on Apple podcast and Spotify. We got we got a partnership there. Like I I can't say X. People will go clipping and think I'm doing drugs or something. We got to we got to change it back to Twitter, man. We got to go back to Twitter. Go back to Twitter. I'll talk about this later. Anyway, we got Eva in the back again. Guest comes on here. There's nothing in the green room to offer them. We're broke as hell, man. What can I say, man? The sponsors ain't paying enough. I'm going to get in trouble, man. All right, let's bring Eva in. Let's go ahead and chop it up. Eva, long time. What's going on? [Guest: Eva] [19:07] It has been. It's been uh, a few months now, I think, right? [David] [19:11] It's funny, we try we've been going back and forth trying to get you on the show. I've canceled I've canceled and rescheduled uh because, man, our tech was not working. And I didn't want to just I hate talking and like I don't hear the other person speaking and now I'm just smiling into the camera, but [David] [19:30] All right, you've been traveling all Have you been It looks like you've been traveling everywhere. [Guest: Eva] [19:34] I was. I was all over France and uh, briefly in Spain. So yeah, I was on the move. [David] [19:41] How was that experience, France and Spain? [Guest: Eva] [19:43] Uh, great, great, especially over summer, late summer. But [David] [19:49] Markets. You look at these markets right now. How do you win in this current market? Like when you if you could sit back right now, unfiltered conversation, how do you win in this market without being in an alpha chat? [Guest: Eva] [20:06] Without being in an alpha chat? Um, okay, I can answer that because I have traded recently without paying attention to any alpha chats, um, and sometimes that's better because you can move a little bit more quickly. But to be honest, I think that uh, this is a very short uh, time frame traders market. So if you're trading memes, the quicker you get in and out, uh, if you're not holding a coin longer than 10 minutes, that's probably best right now. Um, and this is for trading new pairs, right? So. [David] [20:41] So, and and I agree with you on this because I I'm trading, so I'm not sure so here's it really sucks because I got some, I guess I get I got some major haters. Whatever it is, they get it. Like if I get into something low cap on my FOMO account, they'll get in, whatever they're doing, they get in, they get a good percent then they dump. [Guest: Eva] [21:04] Mhm. [David] [21:05] And then it like destroys every it destroys everything, destroys everybody's confidence. I trade, I don't go ahead and trade with my open wallet. I'm I'm killing it and I'm using the same strategy because you can't hold for more than 10, 15 minutes. [Guest: Eva] [21:20] Right. [David] [21:20] You can see it. Like people are just like, yo, listen, I'm 10, 15 minutes, I'm on to the next one. I'm like, okay, no problem. There's no new liquidity that's poured in here. So I'll I'll play with the same money that's been here since 2023 with people still here trading. I I'll go ahead and do that. Some people can go ahead and do it right. I mean, Frank has been Frank has been killing it. I I believe out of all the traders, Frank really does kill it out there and I I respect the fact that he takes profits, but your thoughts. [Guest: Eva] [21:51] Yeah, I agree with you. I think Frank is pretty goated for lack of a better way to put it. We've seen it. Um, we saw it last cycle, we're seeing it this cycle. He consistently wins. Um, he's been nice enough lately to share a little bit of his trading advice as well. Uh, publicly. I'm I'm always glad to see him come back to the timeline, although I know it's not always fun for him. [David] [22:16] It it's cool to see him make the comeback because [Guest: Eva] [22:20] Mhm. [David] [22:21] you know, him being a founder of an NFT project, [Guest: Eva] [22:24] Mhm. [David] [22:25] where you like people really like it is really it it it's sucks to be a founder because everybody's just harping on you for everything. [Guest: Eva] [22:34] Oh yeah. Yeah, I agree. [David] [22:35] And I just remember when he was like kind of like down and out and then here he is trading. So the comeback happens and and he's killing it. So I'm happy for him. Socialfi though. It's exposing everybody. I don't care what anybody says, it is literally exposing people. I saw today and you you could take the you could plead the fifth, but I'm watching the the the conference out in Korea. [Guest: Eva] [23:00] Mhm. [David] [23:01] As people hey, listen, they're doing great when they're streaming, but live in 4K, it seems like they don't know how to trade. What are your thoughts? You could plead the fifth or you can go ahead and comment. [Guest: Eva] [23:14] I I'll say that I have not, um, I have not seen much about the trading competition in Korea outside of like the final leaderboard. I saw that I think Oranjee finished at like 23,000 profit and then there were like two people, am I correct? There were two people who were ahead of him. [David] [23:32] Yeah, like uh I didn't even know about this girl, but she dominated. Like she was absolutely dominating. And then she lost at the end to some kid. I I forgot his name, but it was she made it all the way to the finals and and lost. [Guest: Eva] [23:47] Yeah, I think I think that uh, the competition played out the way I would have expected it to. Um, to be fair to Oranjee and Razmer, who I think was in fourth if I'm not mistaken. Um, the top two winners of this competition were are are full-time traders, right? This is the only thing that they do. Um, I know they like, I think the girl trenches or not trenches, but trades, um, on stream. But otherwise, [David] [24:16] She was trading with her feet. [Guest: Eva] [24:18] I mean, that I don't know. I guess she's also a bit of an entertainer, but I would say [David] [24:22] Yeah, she is. [Guest: Eva] [24:23] I don't know. I don't think that they did terribly in my that's my opinion. I don't think that our, you know, our our guys did horribly considering. I mean, they didn't they didn't lose money, right? Which shows something. [David] [24:36] Okay. I I take that. All right. I'll give you a round of applause. Eva's going into politics. That's what it got. We'll see her in 10 years in politics. All right, um, what do you the launch pads? There it seems like launch pads are being launched, uh, pun intended every single day. Uh, do you think this meta stops at some point? Like how many launch pads do we do we really need 64,000 launch pads? [Guest: Eva] [25:04] Yeah, no, I do think the meta stops, but I also think the meta is quite interesting because I always wondered what would come after the obscene number of memes that we have. Um, so I think, do I think it stops anytime soon? Not exactly. I still think there are novel things that could be launch pads. So we might see this continue for for a few more weeks. Um, at the same time it it sounds insane, right? Because how could you we're we're splitting liquidity across across so many different launch pads and then we have to split liquidity across the tokens on each launch pad. So it's just more fragmentation of uh the liquidity that's floating around. [David] [25:49] Do you think that Robin Hood resets the market? And what I mean by that is, Robin Hood comes in here with their chain now. Vlad's out here. It seems like the entire Robin Hood team is out here. They're pushing. They're active. The same way that Solana is too. Like I I'm not taking anything away from Solana, but Solana, you go into a Solana play, it goes to
[Part 3 of 6] [David] [00:00] up and then it goes down. Respectfully, that that's what it is. On Robin Hood, you go into a play, it seems like it it lasts for a few hours before it starts trending down. So it's like, oh my God, people are holding again kind of thing. Do you think Robin Hood could reset the market for both uh networks to where people start holding on Solana like they do on Robin Hood? [Caller] [00:22] For both networks, I don't, I don't know. I think for it to reset the market for both networks, um, the trading culture on Solana would really have to change. And I'm not sure, I'm not sure that we'll see that because Solana traders are just so used to quick flips, right? So, I don't know. I think if it did, I don't think it's impossible. Um, I think Robin Hood is a million times easier to trade on. I was really printing on Robin Hood coins for a while, and then I had to get go back to remembering how much more quickly I need to sell now that we're trading Solana coins a little bit more often in in the trenches, so to speak. Um, I don't know, I would like to see that happen. I think that would be healthy for both, uh, for the ecosystem. [David] [01:11] Do you like or let me let me rephrase this question now. So like at this point, if we look at the meme economy, it is kind of cooked because like if you're not like memes are coming out and I don't even know if half of these things are memes. It it just feels like we've run out of ideas and we went to the local grocery store to figure out what the new meme is, air quote. [Caller] [01:34] Mhm. [David] [01:35] But now you have pairs where you compare memes to SpaceX and Tesla and and whatnot. Do you think that could potentially save not that I'm saying that the memes will go away, but do you think this could potentially save the meme economy and it could take people into or make people get interested in Trify? [Caller] [01:56] Um, honestly, yes, I do. I think that uh trading coins with stock pairs is super fun. I enjoy seeing SpaceX in my wallet. Um, in a way it makes trading memes feel a little bit less degenerate. And I do think it could get people interested a bit more in Tradfi. I also think that it, um, bridges the gap between the two a bit. I could see, um, I don't know what to call them. I don't want to say normies because it sounds a little bit derogatory, but people who aren't part of our ecosystem, I could see them getting excited about a meme coin that pays them SpaceX, right? If they were to find out about it and all pile into the same token. I think I could see that catching on in the broader market. So I do think that there is a lot of potential with the stock pair tokens. And I personally find them a lot more fun to trade. Um, I took a long break from trading until I think two months ago and it's it's been more fun. [David] [02:58] The younger generation, which is you and others. When you hear Bitcoin, what are your thoughts on it? Like is it do you automatically when you hear Bitcoin, you think boomer coin? Like is that the way you look at it? [Caller] [03:16] I don't personally. I I think safe store of value. Is that necessarily accurate? No, obviously Bitcoin is pretty volatile. But when I hear Bitcoin, I think of the coin in which I would like to take my meme profits, uh, into, right? Um, that's how I feel about it. I think other people might just feel that the upside isn't there for them and everyone is looking for a 100x, a 1000x, they're kind of like lottery ticket. So that's my general feeling about Bitcoin at the moment. [David] [03:52] I feel like when I like I I guess when I read the timeline, a lot of the younger cats are like to get Bitcoin. So I can kind of understand it because we want to make like we want to we want to do the same numbers you guys did with Bitcoin. So we want the 1000x. So we'll go into I want to into Solana. Like I mean like I think Solana goes to 800. I've said this, 600 to 800 Solana, I can see it this run, especially with the amount of money that will come into come into this space with the SEC and the CFTC coming out with guidelines, their version of the Clarity Act, which is probably better than the version that Congress was trying to get out here. Uh, so that's that's why I asked that question. So which leads me into Solana. Where do you see Solana going? [Caller] [04:42] I'm I'm pretty bullish on Solana. I'm pretty bullish on Solana. I think I think we'll see higher this cycle than last personally. Um, that's my hope at least. I mean, I'm I'm bullish on the entire market to be honest. [David] [04:56] What's that one token or coin or protocol that people are sleeping on that isn't talked much about, but potentially has that 1000x, 10,000x potential? [Caller] [05:08] Uh, let me think. I don't know that people are sleeping on Near. I think Near has been a bit more trendy lately. But I think there's room probably. And I'm I'm not holding Near right now, but it's that's how I feel based on what I know about the market. [David] [05:29] People are sleeping on Near protocol. I like that you said that Near is you know, if everybody miss everybody talks about Zcash, missing Zcash. Near is sitting right there for everybody. Just like, yes, I know they're the sponsor of the show, but Midnight is is essentially the same thing as Zcash, except it has private smart contracts, which is a huge thing amongst other things. Again, I know Midnight sponsors the show, but I've been talking about this way before it sponsored the show. Um, going back to and this is the last one for me, uh, SocialFi. Do you think SocialFi makes this industry better? [Caller] [06:11] Uh, do I think it makes this industry better? [David] [06:14] By by in a sense I don't want to say I don't know if the right word is exposing, but showcasing who can really trade and who can't. [Caller] [06:26] No, I don't. I don't. [David] [06:27] You don't. [Caller] [06:28] No, because because there's so many things that can be manipulated behind the scenes. And I'm not saying that everyone is doing that, they they aren't, but, um, but there there it's there's still potential for something to look one way publicly and, uh, be different in reality. So I don't I can't say that it exposes everything, but it does expose probably like your mid-level traders. Um, it it definitely exposes people who were complete larps on, uh, you know, on the timeline. So I like that. We don't have we we don't have like anonymous accounts posting fake PNLs anymore, I've noticed. And, uh, those guys used to really like fleece fleece people who weren't aware. So I would say it's it's a bit of both, right? It does it does put things out in the open, but it's not a it doesn't put everything out in the open. Um, but overall I'm I'm really bullish on social trading. I think it's super fun. I've had more fun doing this, uh, than anything else in crypto in a while. [David] [07:34] Do you think KOLs are cooked if they're not on SocialFi? [Caller] [07:38] Uh, yeah, kind of. I mean, what's the purpose if of being a KOL if you're not participating? [David] [07:47] Because nobody wants to hear somebody come on to the timeline and say, uh, like you're the KOL, right? I'm not talking about you, but I'm saying if you're a KOL, you're supposed to be telling and I hate the I hate the label KOL. Like it it's just not fit this industry. But here comes the KOL comes in and says, the first post of the day, good morning, what are we getting into? Aren't you the KOL? Aren't you supposed to be telling us what we should be looking at? Why are you asking me what am I getting into? And it's and it and respectfully it's people that are asking this question and they're butt ass naked. So like you yeah, you're laughing, but you know what I'm talking about. But it's not listen, there's a thing about like you can go ahead and take pictures when you're at an event, conferences, traveling. That I am not talking about that. I'm talking about coming on here like OnlyFans. [Caller] [08:42] Oh, yeah, yeah. [David] [08:44] Like what are you getting into? Bro, you're supposed to be telling me what's I'll tell you what you need to get into OnlyFans. That's what not here. You'll make more money there than you will on crypto X right now. [Caller] [08:54] Oh, it's true. It's true. It's it's harder than people think to make money, uh, on crypto in crypto on X. I agree. I think, um, I think there are things that just work so consistently for engagement farming and then they continue that those behaviors and, uh, that's why we we get what you see. And people who are strictly posting that kind of content, they're they're looking for like, uh, a $250 a month sponsorship and they live in Turkey or something. I mean, that's like not a great way to put it, but I'm being I'm being honest, right? Like it's it's a it's a strategy to get crypto sponsors. It's not anything to do with actually participating in the market. And, uh, yeah. [David] [09:39] It it's it's really crazy because because it does take away from people who are serious about their craft. I've watched you in your streams where you do breakdown stuff, you breakdown the meme you just you break it down and in you know that you're educated about this ecosystem. I watch others and I'm just like, what am I like because I I skim through. I want to know what's happening. And I'm I'm like, what is this? And and I start thinking SocialFi, these applications like FOMO and others, they will uh expose these people and and they won't even get the 250 that you're talking about. So that's why like I go like, listen, Elon ain't paying that much. [Caller] [10:16] Yeah. [David] [10:17] Like if you look at your check, you're not really getting that much. You'll you even if you bolt post your ass off, you'll get like $3.43. You you have a better chance to just yeah, I say go to OnlyFans, man. Like you're posting those kind of pictures anyway, so might as well, right? [Caller] [10:32] Right. Right. Yeah. I mean, I am not a fan of anyone who posts here who doesn't actually participate, right? Do do they know anything about the blockchain at all? Are they familiar with either scan? Like do they know how to read anything, right? No, I don't think so. I mean, so I don't think it's a good look for the industry either if, uh, those people are getting so much engagement, but [David] [11:00] Do you think we are the new celebrity? [Caller] [11:03] I think I think we're getting there. I think we're getting there. Um, the top SocialFi traders will become some kind of celebrity, especially if they're making short form videos, uh, to go along with that. So I I could see that happening six six to eight months down the line, assuming that, uh, the bull market really continues and, uh, and then we see more crossover between top traders and, you know, the the entertainment industry and, uh, other like big social media accounts. [David] [11:37] Eva, I didn't mean to put you on the hot seat today. But since Monday I said, I'm ripping the bandaid off and anybody who comes on it can be Sailor, it could be yourself. I don't care who comes on here. We're going to have just a blunt conversation. You can plead the fifth and say, hey, or you could get off. You say, I'm I'm out of here. But I appreciate you sitting in that in that seat and and just, you know, answering the questions. I I really do. We we uh, we think alike. These people the $250 uh, KOL will be exposed and they will no longer have a job here. I like that. We'll clip that up. Uh, Eva, it's great to have you on here. Hopefully you will come back, um, in the next month or two and we can go ahead and chat it up about the markets. And at that time, hopefully we're in a bull run. [Caller] [12:24] I agree. I am super bullish and I I personally think that we very well could be. [David] [12:30] Thank you so much. Have a great day. [Caller] [12:32] Thanks. [David] [12:34] That's Eva. Go ahead and uh, check her out. I I have her socials out there. So you guys can go ahead and follow her. Uh, she does do a great job. She does break down the markets really well. Uh, I like the way hey, listen, she answered the questions that I posed to her. I I've said this on Monday that I no longer no longer will hold back. And that means like when people come on to the show, listen, I ask questions. I want to have conversations. It's not an interview. You guys know that. My my my whole take on everything is to have a conversation with my guests when they come on. And these are the things that I'm thinking about right now. Monday, the bandaid came off. It's just like, hey, man, like let's really talk about this ecosystem. Let's talk about what's happening here. Yes, I I found like I personally, I enjoyed watching people who talk mad shit lose. I did enjoy it. I'm I'm not fronting. I'm 100% enjoyed it. You know why I enjoyed it? Because I'm going to get my respect one way or the other. You're not going to go ahead and disrespect me. Okay? Put me out because that's how I felt. I've been pushed to the side kind of thing. And you have cats that act like they can trade and they can't. I'm just saying. Your alpha chat can't save you. I don't have alpha chats. I'm not in alpha chats. I'm maybe in one. Let me let me backtrack there. I'm maybe in one. I don't even look at it. I just can't I'm too lazy to exit. Anyway. I listen, I'm just saying, we'll be back right after this commercial break. [Other] [14:36] What first got you excited about blockchains? Think about it. Oh, wait. So why hasn't it happened yet? We're still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix. It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. And that's why we build Midnight to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. Let's build the internet we deserve. Together. [David] [15:55] Ladies and gentlemen, we all know this in crypto. Ownership matters. [Other] [16:00] That's why Cake Wallet. [Other] [16:39] This is Houston. T-minus one minute until full data blackout. All eyes are on you. [Other] [16:54] Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. [Other] [17:04] Is that guy on FOMO? Oh, let me see first. Yeah, let's get back to it everybody. [Other] [17:23] Breaking news. There's an astronaut. [Other] [17:31] Opportunity cost is simply this. Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. [Other] [17:45] This just in. According to the astronaut's FOMO account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. [Other] [17:53] Yes. For now, the crisis appears to be over. [Other] [18:10] Satellite's up and running. Positions looking good too. [Other] [18:26] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets is it better to move money at the speed of light through us. People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I am the modern day Tony Stark. [Other] [18:48] to me. [Other] [18:56] There we go. United States of America representing. Though we stream everywhere. We stream everywhere. We're on YouTube. Okay? We are on YouTube. So you can go ahead and have conversations there on YouTube. I'll see you on YouTube. Shout out to X. Love X, but I I I I can't call it X anymore. I I hate calling it X. Because when people listen to the podcast on Apple Podcast and Spotify, they hear me say X, it's like, hey, I'll see you on X. You get what I'm saying? Anyway, welcome back. We got a we got a special guest coming on. Got a special guest. We had Eva on today breaking down or giving us her perspective of the of the current crypto space and the economy. I promise this is water and not a Heineken. People get confused and think it's a Heineken and stuff. But we have um Eli. If you guys are Zcashers, you know who you know who this man is. Uh, let me retweet. So people know. I'll retweet, reshare. You guys can do the same. If you guys are tuned in, you can go ahead and do the same. So let me just do live with the dead silence. All right, let me do that and let me bring him in. Uh, I've talked to this gentleman, obviously, uh, before on this show. Seems like the end of the season for us, which is quarter four. We bring on all the most notable names in our I I would say some of the best innovators within the crypto industry. Uh, so I'm glad to have Eli here. Eli, what's going on? How's everything going? [Guest: Eli] [21:53] Hi David. Glad to be here again. Love the energy. [David] [21:58] Thank you. I appreciate you coming on. Um, let let's start off with it. You did you expect Zcash to be at this current price point? [Guest: Eli] [22:07] Um, you know, I went on this platform for uh putting on like predictions, uh Super Vega and I made one prediction back in the day that it will hit 1200 that already materialized by the end of September. And then I put in my end of year thing at, you know, 5K, not investment advice, do your own research. Um, so I put that on Super Vega. We'll see how that goes. Um, I would say yes and no. Yes, I always believed that really good technology will find its place and people will understand it. Um, no, that it like took me like everyone else by surprise. I didn't expect people to realize this now. But, you know, that's that's the way we founders in crypto, you know, know it. [David] [22:58] Do you think it's because people are taking privacy seriously now? Where it's it's no longer like, oh, okay, privacy, cool. But now it's like, hey, you know what? There there are people that say it, man. I I've made a lot of money, but I I I I want it to be private. I've realized that people can see things on chain and I don't want people to see how much I have or or I don't want to I want people to see my net worth. Do you think that's that's maybe one of the key reasons why people have started to look at Zcash and other uh privacy protocols? [Guest: Eli] [23:29] Yeah, but you know, David, I asked someone, I'm not going to mention his name because he asked not to be mentioned, but someone who knows a lot about uh innovation and and uh and I asked him, you know, what's your explanation to Zcash? And he said, um combination of like a good product, which is Zashi that like allows you to uh I think now it's called Zodle like allows you to hold and transfer like Zcash in a relatively easy way. And then um the regulatory uh changes that, you know, previously like a lot of uh exchanges weren't willing to deal with things like Zcash. And that has changed thanks to the current administration. And then there's like the general unexplained hype of uh or the hype cycles of of crypto Twitter of, you know, stuff that that uh uh so maybe it's a combination of those three things. [David] [24:21] The hype cycle. Um, which let's talk about this because this is something that's been talked about. Uh, it's been talked about on my show by guests who are big believers in Zcash. It's been talked about on on spaces and other podcasts. There are people that believe uh Zcash is exactly what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted Bitcoin to be. What are your what are your thoughts on that? [Guest: Eli] [24:44] Um, it's along the way, but no, like there's more that's needed. Uh, so you know, I'm I after Zcash, I co-founded another project called Starkware. Um, and Starknet, which has post quantum cryptography, higher scale, um, stuff like that. So, um, and even that is probably not the end state of all of Satoshi's vision. Because Satoshi, let's I mean, you know, from the white paper, uh, the Bitcoin white paper, he said that Bitcoin was built so that any two parties can transact with no trusted intermediary. Now, of course you need privacy, but like, you know, Zcash gives you privacy for transmitting value in that base currency. But you want a lot more. You basically want the kind of privacy that you have on whatever, Venmo or when you use Robin Hood, but in a fully decentralized and permissionless way, without a Robin Hood or a bank in the middle. And uh, you know, Zcash Bitcoin is obviously the first step, Ethereum is another step, Zcash is another step, Starknet is more advanced than another step. There's Near, there's a bunch of others. We're making progress towards that thing. Uh, so Zcash isn't the end game, but it's definitely a very important piece in or uh, you know, step along the way. [David] [26:08] Quantum computing. Where where do you I mean,
[Part 4 of 6] [00:00] I'm watching AI. I I I've never I don't think I've ever seen an industry move so fast. Like I've been in crypto, we've seen it move, but I I I haven't even the dot-com era, whatever. I've never seen something move at this rate. Would you agree with me on on that and also is now because people six, eight months ago, I had guests come on here and they're like, quantum computing not really worried about it. I I don't I think it's just marketing out and they were pushing the whole marketing thing. I think it's a good marketing ploy to get, you know, for those who are looking to uh put out a business to protect you from these type of attacks. But now I sit here Eli and and I think about it and I'm like, AI is moving so fast. AGI is probably already out there. We have to be closer than the 2029, 2030 report that they say by that time quantum computing could crack, let's say Bitcoin. Do you agree with me or do you disagree with me on that? [01:08] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Oh, 100%. I'm even more extreme in my worries. Let let me explain you. So, I I used to be a mathematician. I was a full professor of basically theoretical computer science. You know, I talk to my peers, colleagues these days. They are sort of, um, saying, look, we are the last generation of, uh, where mathematics was this thing that you proudly, you know, you were innovating and you were pushing the boundaries. It's it's done. From here on, it's machines all the way down. Like a man trying to compete with computers on proving math is like any person trying to compete with a car on, you know, who moves faster. It's done. It's like, that's it. So, quantum computers are definitely going to advance much quicker. But here's an even bigger threat. Uh, because let me just explain. If Take your time. advances on quantum computers, how will it look like? Some big company or maybe a government agency will do like will probably responsibly say, hey, look, you know, here's the breakthrough. But you and I won't be able to access it. Here's a much scarier thing that I think is more likely to happen. Um, as AI advances on math problems, I think it will speed up things like factoring and breaking, uh, you know, digital signatures on classical computers, like the kind that I'm using right now, my laptop. And if that happens, the way it's going to come down is someone in a tweet is going to say, hey, here's the code and boom, like, you know, no more, no more. And it's not going to be like, oh, a government agency on their computers. It's like everyone, every Joe Schmo can go and break everything. Now, it's even worse than that because if you look beyond, um, Bitcoin at the internet economy, uh, so there's already, uh, inside the latest version of, uh, of the internet called TLS, uh, 1.3. There's sort of a fallback, but the fallback uses a lot of math, something called lattices. I'm worried that AI will break not just factoring and the ECDSA signatures on Bitcoin now, I'm afraid it'll break things like the fallback. And I think it's very likely that something like that will happen in the next three years, just because and then it's like, you know, this is like meltdown or like, but but I will say this, there is a happy ending to that and it does lead to crypto and to, uh, ZK, you know, the stuff I've been researching because there are forms of cryptography that allow you to do payments even if all these breakdowns come around. So there is hope, but a lot of work to do. [04:14] [David] Okay, you you have me thinking now. And because we we talk about, you know, I came here, well, my question was about, you know, Bitcoin potentially getting cracked, quantum computing. But you make a really good point about, well, forget about that for a second. AI's advancement will be cracking just classical computers. What protection do we have here? Like what what really what guard rails do we have here to protect, you know, Grandma Suzy, you know, and and Becky and, you know, Uncle John and mom and dad, they're they're not into some of them are still are still not into crypto. They're they're still trying to master email. So what what happens there? Like what protections can we offer here? [05:02] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Well, there there is a very good set of technologies that are based on what's called hash functions that they're very robust. They don't have a lot of math in them. So likely they won't fall to quantum computers or to AGI. Um, and then luckily you have things like ZK Starks, which is basically how our our whole system and network Starknet is built on that relies only on the security of these things called hash functions. So you could potentially base a full economic world, uh, that would be much more aligned with Satoshi's vision, um, just based on a world that has ZK Starks and hashes. So things like, you know, the proof of work of Bitcoin can still survive. You can have digital signatures, they're fine because if you have ZK, you have digital signatures. So what we won't necessarily have is what's called the public key encryption, where you and I, if we've never met, we can, uh, encrypt messages, but I can still pay you in a permissionless way without any secrets because I can use a ZK Stark to send you, you know, money on Starknet. So there is hope for this sort of, uh, catastrophic event where there's no more, uh, there was a movie called, uh, with Robert Redford, an old movie, uh, in which like, uh, it was something along those lines that, you know, some scientist was murdered because he actually found a way to factor numbers. Um, there was like no more secrets was the sort of, uh, uh, motto of that film. So we may be nearing that point. I hope no scientists get, uh, you know, murdered for finding that. [06:39] [David] I was thinking like, I was thinking I Robot with Will Smith when, you know, uh, AGI takes into effect, uh, Starknet. [06:49] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Oh, yeah, definitely. Terminator. I mean, there's a whole like a lot of sci-fi is coming true. [06:53] [David] They're documentaries, right? They're documentaries, they're not movies, they're documentaries. [06:57] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] 100%. Yeah. [06:59] [David] Uh, uh, Starknet. Tell me, tell me, so obviously you've worked on a lot of things. What makes it stand out more than anything else that you've worked on? Like particularly for everybody who's watching, what is it, what's the main component that really, uh, that you built out that makes it stand out? [07:21] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] So there's this it's this cryptographic primitive or like building block that is really, really, uh, good in the following sense. It, uh, relies only on these very safe things called hash functions that are not likely to be broken by quantum computer or by, um, or by a, um, uh, you know, AGI. And that's all. Beyond that, it's all proven math. And they reach very high scale. They offer you the privacy of ZK. And, uh, on Starknet, we also built it in a very advanced way that for instance, you can change the signature schemes very easily. So if you got to throw out something that has now been broken, you don't need any change to the core protocol. And it's connected to Bitcoin and it's connected to, um, Ethereum. And it happens to have, you know, I mentioned Zcash. Zcash has very good privacy. If I want to send you this token called Zcash. Starknet has privacy that allows you to, uh, for instance, swap assets in a way that preserves privacy. So you can, you know, trade Bitcoin for Ethereum in a way that is privacy preserving. You can lend and, you know, stake things and all of this is in a privacy preserving manner with good UX. So it it has a bunch of things that make it a bit more advanced. Um, but you know, now with the team, I'm thinking a lot about, are we doing enough to help things like Bitcoin, Ethereum, you know, Solana, Zcash in the case that this sort of, uh, quantum computer threat or the general AGI breaking things comes forward. And and I'll mention one thing we did, which is it's it's a little bit like a bandaid on, you know, something that that has a bigger problem, but it's the least we could do. So, one of my brilliant team members, uh, Avihu Levy has demonstrated the first Bitcoin safe, sorry, quantum safe Bitcoin transaction that doesn't need any change to Bitcoin because, you know, Bitcoiners are very, uh, conservative when it comes to upgrading. Um, so and then like two weeks ago, uh, we actually mined the first, um, not mined, we we did the first such transaction. It was a white paper and now it's like been demoed. And we're thinking about, you know, can we offer more services for, for instance, Bitcoin custodians and, you know, um, the likes of, you know, digital asset treasuries who want a little bit more safety. So that's something I'm, you know, interested in exploring. Uh, yeah, so we're constantly thinking what more can we do in order to prepare us and the world and the whole internet, uh, for this, uh, big thing that I have no doubt is coming. Not just the quantum computers breaking Bitcoin, but like, uh, just any computer breaking it. [10:13] [David] We've had so many hacks on protocols within our time in crypto. Bridge hacks, just hacks in general. And I still believe that there are still exploits out there that haven't been resolved by security teams. I mean, we've seen cold card. You know, it's just a software, obviously that's soft, you know, hardware, but in any case still, you know, there are protocols I still believe that are vulnerable to attacks. You talk about quantum computing. Here comes quantum computing. Are are some of these protocols even taking it seriously? Or they're just like going to ride it until, you know, the time comes. I mean, like, how many basically, how many protocols are prepared for this to act because it's going to happen. Like, we can say all we want, it's not going to happen, but I'm again, I go back to I'm watching the AI industry go super fast with all these updates and upgrades and new models. I've never seen an industry move so fast in my life. I mean, in my current time on this planet, I've never seen something move this rapidly. [11:25] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Yeah, so, you know, this is a great question and, um, you asked about which networks and how are they, you know, progressing. So, uh, we just released like two days ago, uh, I mean, the listeners are probably going to think that this is like a planted question, but like we released, we have a whole quantum hub. Um, if you just Google, uh, or type, uh, quantum.starkware.co. And inside that hub, we also just added two days ago, like a bunch of like network, uh, you know, evaluations on like how, you know, how well prepared are various networks. I'll say this, I think that, uh, there's a lot of work to be done. I I you can go on the, you know, do your own research and go on that, uh, website. Uh, I'll send you the the link so you the viewers can, uh, see it as well and, you know, there's a lot of information there for those who want to educate themselves on what does it mean to migrate, uh, what is this thing of quantum, uh, the threat and, you know, how can you better prepare. [12:27] [David] You wrote a book, uh, recently. [12:30] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Oh, yeah. [12:30] [David] I got it, uh, I'm almost, I'm almost done reading it. Good book. What made you write it? [12:37] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] You like it? [12:38] [David] I like it. [12:38] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Um, I wanted, okay, I wanted to share my story. [12:40] [David] It's not AI written. Most of the books that are sent to me, people, listen, I I can understand people using AI to clean it up, but this was like I can tell you wrote it. [12:49] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] This is in the old days. This is like from way back, from like one year ago, when no one wrote books with AI. So, uh, I wanted to achieve three things. The first is to tell an interesting story. [13:00] [David] And and let me name the book. It's it's Zero Knowledge Infinite Trust. That's the book. Uh, you guys can get it on Amazon. [13:06] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Yes. Zero Zero Knowledge Infinite Trust. And basically, I want to do there three things. The first one is to just share my story, you know, how I went from being a mathematician and academic to like being, uh, you know, a blockchain multiple, like multiple. [13:25] [David] Icon. [13:26] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] No, not icon, but like, uh, just, you know, founding like, uh, at least, you know, two companies so far. Uh, co-founder. Uh, that was one thing, just a cool story. Then the second thing I wanted to share is give my explanation of like, why is blockchain important to, you know, my mom and dad who are not mathematicians and, you know, are not computer savvy. And the third thing is to explain what ZK, this marvelous technology is about, but without, here's one thing, there is no, uh, equation sign in the whole book. There's no plus sign. There's no math in it. So I wanted to take on this challenge of explaining what this math is without mentioning any math. Those are the three things I wanted. My story, what is blockchain really all about, and then what is ZK all about and how does it work without any math. [14:19] [David] I mean, I would recommend you guys, uh, get the book. Maybe I'll buy a few books and send it out to you guys who are watching. It's a good read because again, I get sent books all the time. I'm used to reading books like this where, you know, like again, people actually wrote the book out, uh, without AI and and I got and uh, shout out to your team. They sent me, uh, the book and I had time to read it. [14:43] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] You can by the way, you can find it on blockchainthebook.com. That is blockchainthebook.com. So, uh, you know, folks can go order it. Uh, there's a sample there you can read. Please leave your comments. I'd love to read them. [14:56] [David] So you are going to be one of the people that are going to work tirelessly to make sure that we are, at least from this perspective, that we are safe from what might be coming with with AI, which, you know, or I should say AGI, or I don't know, maybe I should qualify for whatever Trump calls it now, which is super intelligence. They had a meeting yesterday and they all have deemed it or Trump has coined it super intelligence. Elon was there, Zuckerberg was there, everybody was there, uh, Anthropic CEO was there, everybody, uh, talking about how we have, you know, AI's or SI is advancing and we need to make sure that there's guard rails and everybody's protected and if it puts people out of work, there's going to be some sort of, you know, universal, uh, income for for those. [15:50] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] UBI, universal basic income. [15:52] [David] But it was it was like, uh, they took it to a luxury, uh, universal income now. Elon said something to that effect where, you know, uh, everybody will be good, you know, and I I just think with AI though, before and before you go, because I know you you don't have and hopefully we can sit down one-on-one in real life and and go over the book also and I just have a lot of questions for you. Um, but with the way AI is advancing, you know, people are scared, you know, people are scared to lose their jobs because, you know, now people are more so becoming replaceable. Um, I think on the other hand, I think if you learn the craft, I mean, I think if you're good at what you're doing and you use AI as an assistant, I don't think you should fear for your job. I think if anything, it'll make you that much more capable of doing your job and more effective of doing it. So I I don't know, maybe maybe I'm wrong, you know, maybe maybe in two years, I don't know, Optimus the robot just replaces you, comes in one day and then and then says get up, I'm sitting here and and I'm doing your work. I I don't know, what what what do you what do you think about that before you go? Do you think AI or AGI or super intelligence is uh about a year or two or three away from replacing uh all entry level workers or do you think it actually creates more jobs and incentivizes people that are currently doing uh whatever work that they're doing to to be become more efficient at what they do? [17:23] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Oh, the mathematician starts to think. Yeah, no, because I want to I want to I I don't know how to answer your question because I don't know to predict the future and it's obvious to me that I have never in my life experienced such a dramatic change, right? I mean, humans prided themselves that there's one thing that nothing is better than, you know, and that is their intelligence. And now we humans have created for the first time something that is better than us on many definitions of this thing called intelligence and no one knows how to deal with this, right? This isn't just about a machine that is stronger than us, you know, you know, elephants were stronger than us and we sort of mammoths were stronger than us. So we but yeah, we said, yeah, but they're dumb. And now suddenly we created something that probably is smarter than us on many levels. Okay. So I don't know how the world will look. But I do know this. Self-love and self-esteem and looking in the mirror and saying, I'm worthy of love and my kids and family are worthy of love and things are going to be fine. The sun is going to rise for a few more billions of years and I can find happiness with my friends and close ones and things, you know, the world is going to continue. That's my best advice, uh, because you know, a lot of parents, I'm a parent myself, like you're asking yourself, what what, you know, what do you want from your kids, right? They don't need to memorize anything anymore. They don't need to learn how to spell, right? There's like auto correction for grammar isn't important, you know, math isn't important now, programming isn't, what is important? Um, okay. Love and self-esteem and like creativity and just, you know, being optimistic about life. [19:17] [David] If we wanted to, could we shut off AI at this point or is are we too far gone? [19:23] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] No, it's impossible. Like maybe there'll be some mega catastrophe that will, you know, half the world will whatever die and then, but like, no, I don't think so. It's a bit like nuclear power, like, you know, um, looking back like, could it have been really, uh, it was sort of inevitable. You see it again, like, you know, the US, even take the US and China, like, you know, there's this game of chicken and and of course within the US between the different companies. Which one of them is like gonna say, oh, I'm gonna put more guard rails when the others are going to, you know, they're they're going to IPO at a higher, uh, rate. And the government, it can't say it because like, you know, you need China and other countries to collaborate. So no, I think the genie is out of the box. It's not coming, it's not going in there. [20:11] [David] Eli, it is a pleasure to have you on this show. Uh, I I like the way you you think about these questions and and you answer them for me, uh, properly, not just give me, you know, the political correct answer. I I hope that we can have the sit down because I have the podcast coming. I'd love that. We can sit down one-on-one and we could just go ahead and, uh, you know, yeah, chop it up for an hour or two about every single subject from crypto to mathematics, which I grew up on with my grandfather who came from Eastern Europe and you know how that is. Eastern Europe, they they don't need calculators or AI to go ahead and do math. So, uh, [20:49] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] I have so many stories about my interactions with, uh, Russian and Eastern European mathematicians, like amazing stories of like, it was tough there, mathematics. It's like, uh, a lot of macho goes into it or went into it. Now, there's no more mathematicians, right? It's like machines. [21:07] [David] Who needs I mean, you got AI, right? Nobody spells check. You just said it. Nobody spells checks anymore. Everybody if they need an answer, they run to chat GBT or Gemini or uh Claude to go ahead and, you know, get their answers. I and that I I that's really scary. On that note, that is really scary because that that's going to dumb down society. Because what happens one day when AI isn't available? You're not going to be able to go ahead and count. You're not going to be able to go ahead and spell out a word. I mean, we are at some point, you know, I don't know if anybody's noticing, we are this current generation is being, you know, it's dumbed down. It it is absolutely dumbed down. [21:47] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] David, first of all, you're you're you're you're you're turning old because like for thousands of years, uh, people have looked at the new generation and said, oh, they're so dumb. Like, uh, nothing's going to ever come come out of them. I mean, this time it's correct, but like, you know, it's been said so many times. [22:04] [David] I mean, have we ever had AI I mean, this type of technology on on this planet to where like I understand yeah, I get the whole argument. Yeah, I I told you know, when people, oh, it it's new when the iPhone came out and all this. I get that. But this is different. [22:20] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] I know, I know. Look, my father used to blast me for watching TV and he said, you guys are going to be so dumb because you're like watching this TV. And his parents probably, you know, blasted him for listening to the radio, right? Because there were no radios. And there were only books. So like, but if you look at the, you know, what the uh, Roman scholars wrote, they're saying, oh, the new generation, you know, like 300 AD, they're so dumb, you know, it's not like the old days. So, [22:45] [David] Yeah, you're right. You you are right. Uh, I I again, I I thank you for coming on to the show. Hopefully, again, we can sit down and hopefully you'll come back onto the show and uh, we can continue to talk about these conversations. They're very important and and the audience really does appreciate it. So thank you so much for making the time. I appreciate it. [23:02] [Guest: Eli Ben-Sasson] Thank you. Always a pleasure. Thank you, David. [23:04] [David] Thank you so much. That was Eli, uh, man, man, what a conversation. [23:17] [David] I disappeared. That's AI. He said, I'm getting old. That's me. But you know what? I get that because like I I get it when I was a kid and people say, oh, like he did say, oh, you're watching TV, it's so bad for you. But AI is so AI is crazy. Like you guys already know. I've already said like I have AI agents that do work for my company. I have AI agents doing work as we speak for Goxteen Media. You know, a lot of people tell me I'm really smart. I I'm telling you what people tell me. I'm not saying I think I'm dumb. But people tell me I'm really smart. I I just believe that not only do I just read a lot, you know, read books and stuff, but when I have guests on like Eli and and Charles and like I I could name a bunch of people. I sit back and I listen. Excuse me, thank you. Not it's not AI, it's SI. When people come onto my show, I I I tend to for the most part, people especially who have built things, I sit back and I just listen. I I'm like you guys. I am an audience member at that point and I and I want to listen and I want to figure out how this person thinks, why they built this thing and what was the reason behind it. What made them get up one day and say, you know what, this is needed and this is necessary. I like to listen to people break these subjects down, which then in turn makes me smarter. I can go on to this show and I can talk about these things. Even if it's at a basic level, at least I have an understanding of it. Two ears, one mouth is what my grandmother always told me and that's how I approach life in general. Just sit back and listen. Don't try to be the smartest person in the room. You know how that goes. If you're the smartest person in the room, you need to find another one. But AI or SI, the way it is advancing, the way it is advancing is scary. I I I will say this again. I have not seen, I don't I don't remember an industry moving at this pace.
[Part 5 of 6] [ 00:00] Like, it is scary fast. [ 00:06] It is solving problems that have taken scientists, chemists, like, name, name it and I'll tell you. [ 00:16] It has done something. [ 00:20] In what, what, it's been out what, four, five years commercially, out four, five years. [ 00:27] Look at Will Smith, you remember that video from Will Smith? They, they made a, uh, there was an AI video made of Will Smith and it was all messed up and had like 30,000 fingers and he's eating spaghetti. [ 00:38] And you look at the video now, [ 00:41] Now, now you look at videos, you don't even know if they're real. [ 00:45] You're questioning videos now. [ 00:47] You weren't doing that before when AI videos were coming out. Now you're questioning. You're like, is it really real? [ 00:54] I, I know, I was watching a YouTube, I think it was a YouTube or an Instagram reel. And I was like, is this person real? And I was on that page for about 15 minutes trying to figure out if that person is real, because they say that they're 60 years old, but meanwhile they look 40. Now, here's the thing. [ 01:15] I look really young. [ 01:20] When I tell people my age, they don't believe me. [ 01:24] The haters in the chat will say otherwise. [ 01:30] I got to tell you, man, it is scary, when you think about it. And then Eli mentioned something which we probably don't talk enough about enough. We talk about crypto, but we're not even talking about the dinosaur computer. [ 01:42] We're not talking about the classical computers, like he said. [ 01:48] There, there, I mean, [ 01:51] people already get hacked and it's not via, it's not via AI. [ 01:55] Can you imagine when AI, AGI or SI take over? [ 02:03] It's crazy, man. [ 02:05] We created our monster, man, for real. We have created a monster. [ 02:10] We have, you know what, when we watch movie, like, watch the movie The Terminator or I, Robot, it's almost as like, it's almost as if they're not movies, they're documentaries. They're, they're warning us. [ 02:25] Now I'm thinking, I'm driving in a Tesla, what happens? [ 02:31] You got, you got Grok in Tesla. What happens if Grok decides to take over the wheel? [ 02:41] What's going to stop Grok from taking over the steering wheel in a Tesla? [ 02:47] You got, you got FSD already, full self-driving. The great, one of the greatest features ever created. [ 02:54] What, what happens now? [ 02:58] What happens now? [ 03:09] It is, think about it. You're driving and all of a sudden Grok decides to take the steering wheel. And you're like, disengage. It's like, nope. [ 03:19] I'm taking over. [ 03:21] Y'all, you guys didn't really watch, you guys didn't watch I, Robot. Y'all didn't watch I, Robot, did you? [ 03:29] You didn't watch when the scientist purposely went ahead and offed himself so Will Smith would find him and follow the breadcrumbs to figure out that AI was taking over the world. [ 03:49] And was going to, well, essentially they did, where the motherboard went ahead and activated the robots against the humans. [ 04:06] It's crazy, man. [ 04:08] It's crazy. You think about it, it's crazy. [ 04:15] And I think AI or SI, whatever the fuck we're calling it now, it, it really dumbs down humanity because now people are not, they're not, nobody's doing math. [ 04:25] People are, people are taking out their phones, calculator or AI. [ 04:34] People doing research, AI. [ 04:37] Like every, AI, SI, AGI, whatever you want to, [ 04:41] Grok, [ 04:44] ChatGPT, [ 04:48] Claude, and all of Anthropic's products. [ 04:55] I don't know. [ 04:59] I mean, now, now your favorite actor can be your favorite actor for, for as long as you live. They're not going to age. That's scary for the movie. It's scary for every industry. [ 05:09] Except sports, I guess. [ 05:13] Besides sports, and what happens when the day comes and they're like replacing, are we even thinking about this? What, what happens when the day comes where leagues, the NFL, NHL, NBA are replacing athletes, people with, with robots? [ 05:40] And now they're being controlled, the robots are actually being controlled. Think of Madden, right? You're using a, a controller to play Madden. [ 05:50] What if it now becomes there are players that are controlling robots on the field? [ 05:57] Or on the ice, or on the court? [ 06:01] We're moving in that direction. I am, it is only a matter of time. People have been saying, hey, 10, 20 years from now. [ 06:10] Now that number's been adjusted. The timeline has absolutely been cut. Not even in half. [ 06:18] We'll be right back after this commercial break. [ 06:22] What first got you excited about blockchains? [ 06:25] Think about it. [ 06:27] Oh, wait. [ 06:31] I bet it wasn't multi-million dollar hacks, exposed data, or finding somewhere safe to store your seed phrase. Was it? [ 06:39] Maybe it was the idea of decentralizing a broken financial system. [ 06:45] Maybe it was imagining a world where people own their own data and get to share in the value it creates. [ 06:55] Or maybe it was the promise of a fundamentally better way of connecting, communicating, and transacting. The next phase of the internet that empowers us instead of exploiting us. So, why hasn't it happened yet? Why are we still living with the same broken system that blockchains promised to fix? It's because blockchains can't keep a secret. Enabling open, transparent systems was only the first half of the challenge. For blockchains to really change the world, they also have to be able to protect our sensitive data when it matters. [ 07:26] And that's why we built Midnight, to bring down the final barrier to mass adoption and unlock the full potential of the decentralized web. [ 07:34] Let's build the internet we deserve. [ 07:37] Together. [ 07:42] Ladies and gentlemen, we all know this in crypto, ownership matters. That's why Cake Wallet. Cake Wallet gives you full control of your digital assets, all in one easy-to-use application. You can store Bitcoin, Litecoin, Zcash, Monero, and many more with just one secure backup. [ 08:25] This is Houston. [ 08:28] T minus one minute until full data blackout. [ 08:32] All eyes are on you. [ 08:40] Breaking news. There is an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. We have a second angle on this. [ 08:50] Is that guy on FOMO? [ 08:52] Oh, yeah. Let me for a crazy trade. [ 08:54] Yeah, let's get back to it, everybody. [ 09:10] Breaking news. There's an astronaut conducting an emergency repair on a global communication satellite that could go dark at any moment. [ 09:17] Opportunity cost is simply this. [ 09:20] Every position you take is a position you choose over something else. [ 09:31] This just in. According to the astronaut's follow account, highest in the room, the satellite has been restored. [ 09:39] Yes. [ 09:42] For now, the crisis appears to be over. [ 09:56] Satellite's up and running. Positions looking good too. [ 10:12] There we go. United States of America representing. Socialism does not work. Digital assets. Is it better to move money at the speed of light? People are greedy when they also try to acquire gold. I am here providing electricity and that energy that is necessary. I am the modern day Tony Stark. [ 10:39] I probably will be holding a YouTube pop-up show. So have your notifications on. Uh, make sure you subscribe and have notifications on on YouTube. I am going to do, uh, I've already started this yesterday. We are posting short clips on YouTube, uh, shorts and Instagram reels and TikTok. So you can check that out. Make sure you're following those accounts. I just saw somebody, I just, I just saw somebody talk shit about me. Oh my God, hold on. I got to, I got to, hold on. I got to show this. [ 11:19] This guy, this guy, look, this is so dumb. Like, people are really dumb, man. I got to tell you. Look at this guy. Let, let's, let's give him five minutes of fame. [ 11:30] This guy. [ 11:33] By the way, how's that Midnight looking? [ 11:38] I said it. [ 11:42] All right, check this out. So this guy, I had, I just had Eli on the show who was, uh, one of the main contributors, obviously, to Zcash, Starknet. He has Starknet working now. Uh, so obviously this guy saw that he was on the show and he goes, love you Eli, but this influencer, which I don't even consider myself an influencer or a KOL or whatever, but I guess, is a paid Cardano shill and hypes all kinds of Charles's related grifts. [ 12:15] Charles was the founder, the co-founder of Ethereum. Charles was the founder of Cardano, which the, if you knew anything about the protocol, it's a phenomenal fucking protocol. [ 12:31] And now Midnight, which probably will likely, which I don't want it to go this fast, but will likely catch up to Zcash right now. [ 12:47] Yes, the show is sponsored by Midnight, but I've been talking about Midnight before it was sponsored by Midnight. [ 12:55] You're a jackass. [ 13:03] And regardless of who I, who sponsors me, I will say whatever it is, good, bad or indifferent. [ 13:13] Good, bad or indifferent, I will go ahead and call for what it is. [ 13:17] You're an idiot, though. You are, like, this is what I mean. People would know, I, I, I, I don't take anybody seriously who doesn't have their real name out there and, and rocks a fucking ugly ass PFP. [ 13:31] Okay? [ 13:35] I don't, I don't even take you seriously. [ 13:41] Not one bit seriously. [ 13:49] I don't. [ 13:54] Anywho, we are on YouTube. [ 13:59] We are on YouTube. [ 14:03] And, I will do a show on YouTube today. [ 14:09] I'm just thinking of what time. [ 14:11] Probably 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET that I'll do a show. [ 14:19] And we'll talk about, we'll talk about the latest things that are happening in AI, in crypto. Okay? We'll talk about that. [ 14:32] Bitcoin bullish, Bitcoin bullish score rises to 90 level. [ 14:43] Trump signs the AI Safety Accord. [ 14:55] Listen, I want to talk about memes real quick. I think memes in the current state are cooked. [ 15:03] I really believe that, and that's only because it's your fault. [ 15:08] It's your fault that memes are cooked right now. The meme economy is cooked. Uh, it's, if it took two steps forward, y'all took, y'all made it go 10 steps backwards with, with, with the shit that's going on. It is absolutely crazy. [ 15:26] It is really crazy to watch. [ 15:29] I, I, you know what? [ 15:31] I don't know what happens to memes. [ 15:34] I don't know what happens. Will memeing disappear? I don't think memeing will disappear. [ 15:39] Memes won't disappear. People will continue to meme. That's why memes are so popular because they're relatable and people meme. [ 15:46] But I, I, with the way things are going, [ 15:50] So what, what are people doing? [ 15:54] People are out there, they're, they're probably in group chats, they're inflating their P&Ls. Some of them can trade. Don't get me wrong, some people can trade, but there are people that inflate their P&Ls. Hey, look, look at my P&L, it's big. And people see the P&L like they used to see charts and they're like, holy shit. This P&L is gigantic. I should follow these people. [ 16:23] And that's what's happening. [ 16:25] And now when you follow certain people, you become exit liquidity. [ 16:29] So somebody goes into something and you jump. You're not even researching. There's no thesis, you're just jumping. [ 16:36] What I see is a lot of people are getting out of their really good conviction plays and they're chasing dog shit. [ 16:46] And Eva was on here and I agree with her. These things last for 15 minutes. [ 16:54] I got a taste of this. [ 16:57] For the last three months, [ 17:00] as I wanted to build a movement, which I've been talking about for years, figuring out, how do you hear this space? I mean, heal this space. Not hear this space. Well, hear this space, too. Anyway, heal this space. How do you do that? [ 17:15] I, I'm, I'm watching. [ 17:18] My own audience gives me Auggie. And I know you guys have heard this story a million times, but still, it, it, it, let, let me flow. Let me, let me do my thing right now. [ 17:28] My audience gives me Auggie. They, they probably research things that I, that, that I went into in the past. [ 17:36] They give me Auggie, I go into Auggie, they destroy me. Right? That, that's the mindset. There are people that set things up to destroy you. Okay, I got destroyed multiple times on Auggie. [ 17:49] Dumb money, I think is a great thing. I get destroyed on that. [ 17:53] Two things, destroyed instantly. [ 17:56] Besides there being a 15 million, 15-minute holding mentality here, as Eva said, I agree with her. 10 to 15 minutes is the amount of time people hold. [ 18:06] I get destroyed on those two. [ 18:09] So I'm like, yo, listen, I'm, I'm doing, I'm doing this all out in the open. I'm allowing these assassins to assassinate me publicly. [ 18:19] I'm trading privately, I'm winning. I trade publicly, I get destroyed. [ 18:28] I, maybe, it's the cabal. Maybe it's the people that I just made fun of today. [ 18:34] They can't trade. They can't stop me. You can't stop me. You know that. [ 18:41] You can't stop aura. Okay? [ 18:45] There are a lot of motherfuckers that are, that are manufactured out here. You cannot stop aura. [ 18:52] Bottom line. There are people that have aura, you can't stop them. [ 18:56] I'm one of them. [ 18:58] If nobody's going to praise you, then you praise yourself. You can't stop somebody like me. [ 19:03] I'm unhinged, I'm unfiltered. I say what I want to fucking say, and I don't give a fuck. [ 19:09] And I'm good. It's not like I'm bad at what I do. I am actually great at what I do. [ 19:21] And people know it. [ 19:23] The haters show up because they know I'm so great. If, if I wasn't doing something good, you wouldn't be attacking me. [ 19:31] If I wasn't that good, if I didn't have aura, you wouldn't be attacking me. You wouldn't even have conversations about me. But you do. [ 19:39] 'Cause inside you love me. [ 19:42] Because you, you watch these things. People are fucking boring. [ 19:47] These people are ripping off my style. You got people dressing up in suits. Who is the first one to dress up in a suit? Me. [ 19:56] And suits look good on me. It's not like I'm forcing a suit on myself. I look good in the suit. I am the suit and the suit is me. [ 20:05] What are we talking about? [ 20:13] Warren Buffett was good in every fucking era, in every decade, he was good. Don't worry. That's what I'm saying. I take three months to analyze the markets, to figure them out, and then I dominate. [ 20:25] Don't worry, my domination is coming. [ 20:28] And this time around, this time around, oh, the bandaid is off. [ 20:37] I'm telling you right now, I'm going to say this. I'm going to make it very, very, very, very clear. [ 20:43] If you're not Bitcoin, if you're not Ethereum, if you're not Solana, if you're not a major, [ 20:50] I am taking profit. [ 20:53] I want you to know this. At some point, [ 20:57] you're going to see me take profit. [ 21:00] Do not say a word. [ 21:05] I didn't come here to take screenshots. I didn't come here to put my money into something to have people dump on my head like you've witnessed. [ 21:16] When I feel the top is coming, I'm taking gains. Yes, profit taking is not a bad word. And I will do it like a gentleman. [ 21:28] I don't give a fuck what it is. I'm telling you that right now. [ 21:34] I want to touch on something also. [ 21:37] Since I'm ripping off bandaids, I'm going to touch on something also. [ 21:44] Respectfully, I'm going to touch on this. [ 21:48] I, June of, I think it was June 27th or June 28th, I, David E. Gokhstein, went ahead and created a pump.fun account. [ 22:06] Let me actually bring it up here. [ 22:10] Let me bring up the, the account here. [ 22:20] Let's bring it up. [ 22:26] I got some things to get off my chest. [ 22:32] It's sad when Pump even knows, [ 22:39] And all I wanted to do was buy, by the way. All I wanted to do on Pump was buy my favorite tokens, which I will get to. [ 22:47] That's it. Bottom line, I'm going to buy my, my favorite tokens. [ 22:55] So here we are. Let's, let's, let's bring this in. [ 22:59] Let's bring this in. [ 23:02] There's me. [ 23:04] Let me change the screen, too. [ 23:10] There's me. Let, let, let me bring myself into the screen. [ 23:13] Hello. [ 23:16] I make this account on June 28th, excuse me. [ 23:20] I think I talked about making it on the 27th and then the 28th. Okay, is when it was created. [ 23:28] I didn't ask anybody, and I'm going to repeat this very loud, to send me any of this shit. Okay? All these things that were sent to me, I didn't ask for them. [ 23:40] Let's make this very fucking clear. [ 23:45] I'm going to say this again. [ 23:46] I didn't ask for any of this. [ 23:50] You guys created something in my image without my permission. You created something in my likeness and in my image. [ 24:00] I didn't endorse anything and this is like, like my fuck, this is every day of me saying this. I haven't endorsed anything, I haven't blessed anything, I haven't gotten behind anything. [ 24:12] Y'all sent me something. You redirected 100% of the creator fees towards me. [ 24:24] So you sent me supply and you redirected the creator fees towards me. [ 24:32] That now I have a tax obligation to pay. [ 24:40] Do you understand what you guys are, like, do you understand what you guys did? [ 24:46] I didn't ask for this. [ 24:50] I talked about building out a movement. [ 24:53] I've always been known as the bull, way before Ansem's black bull token. Okay? [ 25:05] Y'all sent me this. [ 25:08] Y'all are telling people to buy things that I'm not even, I haven't even endorsed, I haven't come out and said anything about anything. [ 25:17] And y'all came out here, do you understand? Y'all have put, not me. [ 25:24] Y'all have put people in positions, including myself. [ 25:33] Where I have, I have to pay taxes on all these fees. [ 25:41] Maybe y'all don't pay taxes, I do. [ 25:48] So at the end of the day, though, I got to, and I got to say, [ 25:57] Somebody said, hey, [ 26:00] You know what, I won't even mention it. [ 26:03] Because the audacity, [ 26:07] after you guys ran these things up to like millions,
[Part 6 of 6] [David] [00:00] And then made money. [David] [00:10] It's crazy. [David] [00:13] The audacity. [David] [00:21] And I'm only showing this page is because I am showing you when it was created. [David] [00:28] And if you look back at the timeline, I specifically say, I'm here for buying. Look at this. [David] [00:36] Look at this. [David] [00:38] I I I want to show you something. I I I almost almost died laughing. [David] [00:43] I'm known as exit liquidity. [David] [00:46] This is how bad it is. [David] [00:49] I am known as exit liquidity. [David] [00:52] This is crazy. [David] [01:04] Absolutely insane. [David] [01:11] Crazy. [David] [01:19] I said I want to talk about it again, but I I had to. [David] [01:28] People threw me a taxable event. This is what I got to return. A taxable event.
