Pat McAfee will join the cast of ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" studio show this season, expanding his role within the network's programming.
The move is part of ESPN's broader talent overhaul as the network prepares for its first-ever Super Bowl telecast, scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
McAfee already hosts his own weekday show, co-stars on "College GameDay" and frequently hosts "Field Pass" for major college football games on ESPN platforms.
On "Monday Night Countdown," McAfee will join Jason McCourty alongside returning cast members Scott Van Pelt, host, and analysts Jason Kelce and Marcus Spears. Adam Schefter will continue as Insider, with Michelle Beisner-Buck handling features.
McAfee and McCourty are replacing Ryan Clark, who was let go during recent network layoffs.
ESPN continues to integrate talent from NFL Network. Former Super Bowl quarterback Kurt Warner will contribute select segments throughout the season.
For Super Bowl LXI, McAfee is expected to host his own "Field Pass" version of the telecast. ESPN also plans to air a separate "ManningCast" featuring Peyton and Eli Manning.
Troy Aikman and Joe Buck will return for their 25th season calling "Monday Night Football." In February 2027, they will be on the call for their seventh Super Bowl broadcast.
