Ondo Finance's IVVon tokenized ETF has become the largest in its category, growing from approximately $22 million at the start of 2026 to $69.6 million. The token surged roughly 150 percent in May 2026 alone, outpacing competitors IBITon ($47.8 million) and SPYx ($47.6 million).
The broader tokenized ETF market crossed $500 million in total market capitalization in May, a milestone driven largely by IVVon's performance. Ondo Finance controls approximately 66.4 percent of the category, though analysis suggests its share ranges between 66 and 74 percent.
Ondo Global Markets launched in September 2025 with over 100 tokenized assets on Ethereum. By mid-2026, the platform had expanded to more than 440 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain. The platform has processed cumulative trading volume exceeding $9 billion and serves tens of thousands of global holders, with the majority outside the United States.
In June 2026, Ondo introduced 24/7 mint and redeem features, allowing users to create or destroy tokenized shares at any time rather than within traditional New York trading hours. The platform filed an SEC registration statement in February 2026, signaling intent to operate within established regulatory frameworks.
Major asset managers including BlackRock and Franklin Templeton have engaged with Ondo's ecosystem. The platform primarily targets non-U.S. investors while pursuing U.S. compliance through its SEC filing.
Regulatory uncertainty remains a structural risk. An SEC filing does not guarantee approval, and should regulators require tokenized securities to adhere to distribution rules identical to traditional counterparts, the global accessibility underpinning these products could narrow significantly.
The concentration of market share also poses vulnerability. With Ondo controlling two-thirds of the category, any operational issue, smart contract vulnerability, or regulatory action against the platform could cascade across the sector.
Ethereum hosts 62.2 percent of tokenized ETF assets. The category's all-time high of $526.4 million represents a $96.4 million increase from mid-May.
