The Baltimore Ravens faced an immediate concern after their first joint practice with the Minnesota Vikings. Center Danny Pinter was carted off the field during the session.

Head coach Jesse Minter said the team had already planned to increase Ethan Pocic's workload in the second week of preseason. "We kind of targeted this second week of the preseason of Ethan Pocic kind of ramping up into more of the action anyway," Minter said.

Pocic arrived in Baltimore over the summer as proven depth. The 97-game starter brings extensive NFL experience to the position. Minter said signing players like Pocic aims to foster competition and ensure depth in situations like the one created by Pinter's injury.

Pinter had been working with the first team at center throughout the summer. Minter acknowledged uncertainty around his status but expressed confidence in other options, citing Jovaughn Gwyn's recent performance and Pocic's consistent play over his career.
